The legendary actor, Ashish Vidyarthi tied a beautiful gold 'magalsutra' to his wife, Rupali Barua and performed Bihu with her on their wedding.
Ashish Vidyarthi is one of the most popular actors in Indian cinema. He has worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Marathi, Bengali and English films. The actor is still loved by millions for his iconic performances in films like Drohkaal, Sangharsh, and Bhadra. However, currently, Ashish is making the headlines for his personal life. The veteran actor got married for the second time to Rupali Barua at the age of 60. For the unversed, he was previously married to actor, singer, and former RJ, Rajoshi Vidyarthi. However, the duo parted ways in 2022 after living a blissful married life for 22 years.
A few minutes ago, while scrolling through our Instagram feed, we stumbled upon some pictures of Ashish Vidyarthi from his wedding with Rupali Barua. In the unseen pictures, the newly-married couple can be seen enjoying their time with their loved ones. In one of the pictures, Ashish can be seen posing with his wifey, while in another, they can be seen getting click with Rupali's daughter. However, the picture that caught our attention featured a priceless moment between Ashish and his wifey. In the picture, the duo looked happy as they performed Bihu together.

In the next picture, Ashish can be seen tying a beautiful gold magalsutra to his wife, Rupali. For the wedding, Rupali donned a gorgeous cream-coloured mekhela chador, a traditional Assamese saree. The outfit featured a golden border and peacock motifs. She accentuated her look with a layered gold necklace, dewy makeup and a low bun. On the other hand, Ashish opted for a golden kurta which he teamed with a dhoti and gamcha.
On May 26, 2023, Ashish Vidyarthi had taken to his IG handle and dropped a video message post his second marriage to the entrepreneur, Rupali Barua. In the video message, the actor opened up about his divorce from his ex-wife, Rajoshi Vidyarthi for the first time. Talking about the same, Ashish mentioned that despite belonging to different cultures and social strata, everybody wants to lead a happy life and so does he. Talking about his marriage to Rajoshi, the actor stated that their relationship was amazing. However, in the past two years, the duo understood that the future they saw together was different from one another. In his words:
"All of us want to be happy. So, about 22 years back, Piloo and I met and we got married, and it was an amazing one. We had Arth who is now is now 22, and he's working. But, somehow, for the last two years, Piloo and I discovered that after this beautiful inning that we played together, we felt that how we saw the future was slightly different from one another."

Further, in the same video, Ashish mentioned even though they could have sorted out their difference, it would not have been fair to them. Mentioning how happiness is the most important thing in everyone's life, the actor said that at that point, they decided to walk separately but remain amicable. Ashish also shared that even after his divorce, he was sure that he wanted to get married again as he wanted to spend the rest of his life with someone with whom he could travel the world.
Further, Ashish opened up about his second marriage to Rajoshi. Talking about the same, the actor revealed that they met a year back and discovered that they could walk together as husband and wife. Mentioning how age doesn't matter in love, he clarified that he is not 60 but 57. Elaborating more about it, Ashish said:
"I was at that point 55, when I said I want somebody to get married to. And, that's how I met Rupali Barua. We got chatting then we met a year back. We discovered something interesting about one another and we thought that we could be walking together as husband and wife. She is 50 and I am 57, not 60 but age doesn't matter my friend. Each one of us can be happy."

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rajoshi revealed that the decision not to announce her and Ashish's divorce was mutual. She also stated they are still good friends, and the long 22 years were the best part of her life. Furthermore, Rajoshi mentioned that Ashish was a great partner, and they shared a pretty good bond as they had similar interests. In her words:
"These 22 years were the best part of my life. If you ask him, he will probably say the same thing. He has been an amazing partner and we have travelled together for years. We had a lot of common interests. Obviously, we people are bound to have different choices too but we never had a clash because, to the core, we are quite similar. We are still the same."
