In an interview, Piloo opened up about how she connected her debut film's onscreen role with her real life. She also mentioned the certain media craze after news of her separation came out.
Ashish Vidyarthi was earlier married to singer and former RJ, Rajoshi Vidyarthi aka Piloo. They are blessed with a son, Arth. However, after being in marital bliss for 22 years, they parted ways in 2022 amicably. Talking about Piloo's professional front, she is a theatre artist, a dancer and a singer. In addition, she recently made her entry into the films, with the recently released movie, Akelli, co-starring Nushrratt Bharuccha. Now, in an interview, Piloo revealed certain anecdotes from her marriage and also revealed her take on the media craze around her separation from Ashish.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Piloo Vidyarthi opened up about her debut film and Pranay Meshram's directorial, Akelli. In the film, Piloo plays the role of a distraught mother who fights for justice in India after her daughter (played by Nushrratt) was caught in a civil war in Iraq. During her conversation, Piloo revealed how she can't fake an emotion. Thus, she connected her real life very well with her reel life. Moreover, mentioning how she has always been interested in working in films, she explained:
“I can never fake an emotion. I am a realistic person in general. In fact, I ever liked films since childhood and I used to stay away from visiting sets with my mother. I think I wasn’t attracted to films back then. This doesn't mean there was a negative aspect about it, but I think it wasn’t my calling. I could never connect myself. But now I have worked with very interesting people with whom I can connect."

In the same conversation, Piloo also mentioned how she is connected with the film more since just like the story plot, she is away from her child. She said, "I connected to the story. I pictured my child being away from me, which he really is." Afterwards, the doting mother was asked if her son, Arth has the same interest in films. To this, she immediately denied it and mentioned although the boy is not interested in acting, he has some liking towards music. Piloo added:
“Arth was never interested in films. He is into music though, something he’s gotten from us. He has a guitar and keyboard at home.”

Finally, Piloo was asked about certain scenes in the film, Akelli, when people surrounded her, just like after her separation from Ashish. To this, she mentioned that indeed she had to face an ugly situation after the news of her separation from Ashish and his second marriage came out in the media. She mentioned that people started writing on matters like ‘fat alimony', 'eyewash' and many more. However, Piloo mentioned how things once again took the right place and explained:
"Ha, I had to prove myself and stand up. I had no idea what to do until my interview with Hindustan Times. There is a conspiracy of the universe. Somewhere, somehow things will fall into the right place and the puzzle will be solved. I remember the interview had gone viral. Everybody read it and debated like they were in parliament. Most of them said good things but there were 20-30 odd, frustrated who were spreading negativity like ‘I hear a fat alimony here’, ‘This is all eyewash’. It happens that’s how life is--kuch toh garbar hai (something is fishy); Divorce can’t be this easy. But I don't think about it anymore.”
Earlier, in an interview, Ashish revealed he felt extremely guilty while taking up the confidence to tell his son about his separation from Piloo. However, finally, when he and his ex-wife talked about the same to Arth, who is a 22-year-old professional, the doting son shared that he was still processing it. Ashish had shared:
"So, the first part is that it was very painful to even arrive and say it's not working out. And then the part of telling Arth and taking him into confidence came in. There's a huge amount of guilt but we were very clear that we take responsibility for what we are doing, and we are talking to an adult child. It was very difficult to communicate with him, but hats off to him. He is still processing it, but I remember he said, 'the way you both are resolving it is better than pestering yourself into something.' Obviously, he is gone through his stuff."
