Jai Ho actor, Ashmit Patel, got engaged to the hottie of Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se fame, Maheck Chahal in September 2017. Their engagement came as a surprise and joy to their fans. And now the news is that Ashmit and Maheck are going to marry each other in August-end or September this year.
When a leading tabloid asked Ashmit about his wedding plans, he replied that they haven’t decided about the date but it would be somewhere by the end of August 2018. He further added, “Maheck wants a traditional gurudwara ceremony with pheras, which we will arrange for in Europe, followed by a winter reception in Mumbai.” This statement will definitely make their fans happy.
Earlier, there were reports that Ashmit and Maheck will tie the nuptial knot in June-July. She was quoted as saying, “Yes, the shaadi will be either in June or July next year. We will have a nice function in Bombay when we return to India post marriage. Can I speak to you later? Mujhe hamare naye ghar ke liye tiles lene Laxmi Industrial Estate (located in Andheri) jaana hai.”
Speaking of their house, there have been floating reports that Ashmit has been living in Maheck’s flat in Bandra and Maheck is busy renovating and redesigning Ashmit’s flat in Andheri. That’s a sweet gesture by either of them as a couple, right? On the other hand, whatever the date would be, one thing for sure that’s going to happen is that Ashmit and Maheck will get married in 2018.
Speaking to an online portal about his relationship with Maheck, Ashmit said, “We’ve been acquaintances for 14 years, and when Maheck moved back from Norway around three years ago, she joined the same gym that I went to. In this fast-paced world, it’s great to have someone to unwind with. I am blessed I found a co-star and partner in her.”
For the uninitiated ones, the couple got engaged in Spain last year. The way Ashmit slipped in the ring on her finger was the most romantic any girlfriend could wish for. He served her the engagement ring in a plate full of strawberries dribbling with hot chocolate. Elated Ashmit had then said, “Maheck has a habit of having dessert after dinner, and I had decided to propose then. However, on that night, she did not ask for any dessert. So, I excused myself and asked the waiters to get some strawberries dipped in chocolate. I then placed the ring on the plate with strawberries, under a bowl which was placed upside.”
That’s a great news about their wedding date, and we can’t wait to see Ashmit as the groom and Maheck as the happy bride.
