Ashneer Grover recently called out Salman Khan for 'creating drama' around him when he visited the 'Bigg Boss 18' set. Here's what he said.
Ashneer Grover is a well-known entrepreneur who rose to fame after his stint in the first season of Shark Tank India. His unique style, straightforward comments, and unfiltered opinions made him popular. At the same time, his no-nonsense attitude turned into popular memes online. In 2024, the entrepreneur visited the set of reality TV show, Bigg Boss 18, and interacted with the show's host, Salman Khan who quickly called Ashneer out for his previous comments against him. The situation had left Ashneer in an awkward situation and their heated exchange made headlines. After staying silent over it for long, Asheer Gover has now shared his views on it.
Ashneer Grover never shies away from sharing his honest feelings towards someone in his interviews. Recently, he went to NIT Kurukshetra, and while addressing the audience, Asheer recalled his visit to Bigg Boss 18. He recalled that incident and didn't held back his sour feelings and criticised Salman Khan for unnecessarily creating drama for the show.
Ashneer mentioned that Salman took unnecessarily dig against him creating a competition between them. Ashneer revealed that he was invited on the show by its makers and he went there normally without any intention to initiate any conflict. The entrepreneur also addressed Salman's statement where the actor claimed that he didn't recognised Ashneer and said if that was the case, why did they invited him. In his words:
"Faltu ka panga leke apna competition khada kiya usne. Main toh shanti se gaya tha jab mereko bulaya. Ab drama create karna ke liye aap kisiko bol do, arey main toh aapse mila hi nahi. I don’t even know your name. Abey naam nahi jaanta toh bulaaya kyun tha?"
Asheer, who co-founded BharatPe, mentioned that earlier, Salman Khan was a brand ambassador for his company. During that time, no big decision was made without his consent. Consequently, Salman couldn't get associated with BharatPe without meeting him, hinting that the actor was lying. He said:
"Mai bhi kamino ki tarah hi company chalata tha. Everything had to go through me."
When Asheer visited the set of Bigg Boss 18, Salman confronted him about all the statements made by the entrepreneur about him in the past. The actor also said he usually doesn't care about such comments but felt these could be misleading statements and would create trouble for both. Moreover, Salman claimed he knew nothing about Ashneer's identity until he came to the show. Salman was quoted as saying:
"Mujhe toh aapka naam bhi nahi pata tha. Lekin jab aapki woh jo video dekhi thi toh aapke shakal mere saamne aaya tha,"
For those unaware, the controversy between Salman and Ashneer stemmed when the latter claimed that Salman asked for Rs. 7.5 crore for their deal and refused to negotiate. Also, in a podcast, he mentioned that Salman refused to let him take a picture with him despite being their brand ambassador. Consequently, the Dabangg actor confronted Ashneer on Bigg Boss 18.
