Asin tied the knot with Micromax CEO, Rahul Sharma on January 19, 2016, and on October 24, 2017, the couple embraced parenthood for the first time. Asin and Rahul kept it a secret from everyone and the expecting mother had also cut down her public appearance during those nine months. Asin and Rahul surprised everyone when on October 24, 2017, they released an official statement revealing that they have welcomed an angelic baby girl.
The official statement by Asin and Rahul stated, "We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our angelic baby girl earlier today. The last 9 months have been most special and exciting for the both of us and we would like to thank all our well-wishers and everyone who has been part of our journey for all their love and support."
Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma celebrated their daughter’s first birthday on October 24, 2018. Asin shared some glimpses of the little one’s first birthday bash and it was ‘Dream Big’ themed bash with pink-golden coloured balloons, hot-air balloons and motivating quotes as the décor.
On October 26, Asin celebrates her birthday and becoming a mother two days before was the best birthday present she could ever ask for. Asin shared the biggest birthday gift on her Instagram and wrote, “Ecstatic to announce the arrival of our Angelic Baby Girl earlier today. Thank you for all your love and wishes. Asin and Rahul’s close friend, Akshay Kumar played the Cupid between the two and speaking about the same, Akshay shared, “It was during Housefull 2 and we were in Delhi. Don’t laugh, but we were playing hide and seek, and I made the two of them hide together in one cupboard. That is how it started and it is so nice that they are getting married now.”
Sharing the first picture of Asin and Rahul’s baby girl, Akshay wrote, “One joy which is completely unmatched...congratulations to my dearest friends @simply.asin and Rahul on the arrival of their little angel”.
On Asin’s birthday, her Mr Right took to Twitter to thank her for giving him the most precious gift of his life. Rahul tweeted, “It's your birthday and I got the most precious gift, the cutest yawns and sparkly eyes! ThankYou for completing our world #HappyBirthdayAsin”.
On January 19, 2018, Asin and Rahul completed their 2 years of wedding and on the occasion of their anniversary, Asin shared a glimpse of her baby girl and wrote, “#ARWedding #2years It's the three of us now.
