Ayesha Jhulka has no involvement with Mithun Chakraborty or Nana Patekar and called the rumours about link-ups embarrassing.
Ayesha Jhulka has been rumoured to be involved with several of her co-actors over the years. While she usually refrained from speaking about the same in public. The actress finally addresses these alleged relationships and reveals how much weight the speculations possessed.
Ayesha Jhulka, in a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani, opened up about the time she was linked with her co-stars, Nana Patekar and Mithun Chakraborty. She sternly shut down all speculations about her involvement with Nana Patekar and Mithun. She stressed how they should not be linked to her in such a manner. She stated:
"If you open the tabloids of that time, I was linked with everybody. We were just friends, and we had a fun relationship. When you do six or seven films together, you're meeting each other on set every third day… At that age, it's naivety… I have more boy friends than girl friends even now, but that doesn't mean you have to be romantically associated with them. In today's time, what is there to hide? We've crossed that age…"
In the same conversation, she further shared about how she doesn't dwell on these chapters of her life. However, she denied having a relationship with her seniors, Mithun and Nana. The actress called the speculations ridiculous. She revealed that both were her seniors and creating such rumours only made situations embarrassing for them.
Ayesha also addressed the rumours about her being the reason why Manisha Koirala dumped Nana. She expressed how she is not a fan of indulging with older people. She added that while it is already embarrassing to be linked with an actor so senior to her, being speculated as the cause for their breakup was a step further, as the actor himself treated her like a kid. She was quoted as saying:
"It didn't have anything to do with an affair. We did a photoshoot together, and then I did a play with him. But again, look at the seniority. I understand (being linked up) with co-stars my age, but I hate to talk about people who are (older). I have nothing to do with (Manisha walking out on him). It's very embarrassing (to be linked up) with an iconic senior actor…He would also treat me like a kid."
During the conversation, Ayesha didn't directly deny the rumours of being linked with 'Khiladi Kumar'. She shared that live-in relationships and love marriages are prevalent these days, and that discussing such things feels 'primitive'. However, she refrained from getting into her rumoured affair with Akshay and admitted that there was a certain attraction between them. She was quoted as saying:
"There could've been an attraction, but that's normal. It wasn't something underlined or defined… If you're talking about physical attraction, I don't think that's the right way to describe it. We've always had that fondness, but I don't think 'physical attraction' is the nice way to put it."
