Meet the popular Bollywood actress who started her career with back-to-back flops. She later had a blockbuster hit and quit the industry.
The glitz and glamour of the entertainment world can sometimes be an addiction. Affairs, link-ups, and controversies are part of this world. Many actresses in the industry start their careers and reach the top with their hard work. But despite all the success, they leave behind everything and settle in their lives.
One such actress is Ayesha Takia, who quit Bollywood at the peak of her career. After making her Bollywood debut in 2004 with the film Taarzan: The Wonder Car, Ayesha was seen in many other successful films such as Socha Na Tha (2005), Salaam-E-Ishq (2007), Wanted (2009), Paathshaala and many others. However, she left behind the acting world and is happily married now. Let us delve into some unknown details about her life.
Ayesha Takia began her career when she appeared in a TV commercial for Complan at the age of 13, along with Shahid Kapoor. Later, she was seen in Falguni Pathak’s music video, Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye. She also appeared in the popular remix, Shake It Daddy, which garnered her a lot of attention. Soon, Ayesha got the offer to star as a leading lady in Abbas Mastan’s film, Taarzan: The Wonder Car.
Her debut film failed to make a mark at the box office, and her next few releases, including Dil Maange More!!!, Socha Na Tha, Shaadi No. 1, Home Delivery, Salaam-E-Ishq, Fool N Final, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota, and a few others were also flops. However, the 2009 film Wanted, opposite Salman Khan, changed Ayesha’s career as it was a blockbuster hit.
Before making her debut in Bollywood, Ayesha was reportedly madly in love with Manisha Koirala's brother, Siddharth Koirala. Reportedly, Ayesha and Siddharth dated each other for two to three years before finally parting ways on a good note. Later, in an interview, Ayesha revealed she and Siddharth had parted ways due to irreconcilable differences.
After her breakup with Siddarth, Ayesha found love again in the arms of Ashmit Patel, brother of Ameesha Patel. Even though Ayesha and Ashmit never spoke about their relationship, it was reportedly short-lived. The duo reportedly parted ways after an intimate video of Ashmit and Riya Sen went viral.
After her two breakups, Ayesha Takia began dating restaurateur, Farhan Azmi. After dating each other for three years, Farhan and Ayesha decided to tie the nuptial knot in December 2008. In 2009, Ayesha and Farhan tied the knot in a Muslim nikah, which led to Ayesha's conversion to Islam, and she added Azmi to her surname.
Ayesha was just 23 when she married Farhan, and after her wedding, she bid adieu to her film career. Four years later, Ayesha and Farhan embraced parenthood and welcomed a baby boy whom they named Mikail Azmi.
After quitting films, Ayesha Takia was rarely seen in public. However, pictures of Ayesha on her social media handle and her rare public appearances grabbed attention because the actress looked very different. As per multiple reports, Ayesha has undergone several cosmetic surgeries, including lip fillers, puffy cheeks, and Botox, to beautify herself. However, in the process of enhancing her beauty, her looks changed drastically.
On August 22, 2024, Ayesha Takia took to her Instagram handle and posted two pictures of herself in a silk saree. She styled her look with a huge gold neckpiece, glam makeup, and fringed hair. As soon as Ayesha posted the pictures, netizens quickly reacted. They flooded the comments section to express their disbelief over Ayesha Takia's changed look.
