Ayushmann Khurana and Tahira Kashyap are among the industry's most loved couples. They have known each other since school and confessed their love during the twelfth board exams. After which, they had no looking back. However, not many know that there was a time when Tahira and Ayushmann broke up after the latter received a lot of girl attention.
Ayushmann Khurana recently gave an interview with Honestly Saying Podcast, where he reflected on the rise of his popularity and left everyone in awe with his debut film, Vicky Donor. Ayushmann revealed that, coming from a middle-class background, he had to do his best in the profession. However, his personal life took a backseat. He even added that a person should strike a perfect balance.
Talking about his dreamy love story with Tahira Kashayp, Ayushmann revealed that it hit a rough patch. While they were childhood sweethearts, who met in their teenage years in Chandigarh had their own share of ups and downs before their 'happily ever after'. Ayushmann further credited his wife for the success of his personal growth.
In another interview with Mashable India, Ayushmann talked about his early days of fame and shared that his relationship with Tahira suffered due to his initial success. He added that dealing with fame during those early years of success was difficult. He even added that he broke up with Tahira after he got a lot of female attention. He said:
"It is very difficult to deal with fame when you are 16, 17 and in your teens. I remember I broke up with my then-girlfriend because I was getting attention from other girls."
In an earlier interview, Tahira Kashyap, who has been directing her own film, stated that people often think that she is the extension of Ayushmann Khurrana, and she doesn't want to fight it. She added that there must have been some influence on her husband being a star. However, she only had confusion about her surname and how people should address her. But the day, she let it just be, she was comfortable and started growing.
