Did you know Tahira had married Ayushmann when he was still a struggling actor? In an interview with the Mid-Day, the Meri Pyari Bindu star had shared that his wife, Tahira had supported him emotionally and financially as he was a struggling actor back then. Sharing that there was no ego between them, Ayushmann had added:
“When I got married, I had no money. Tahira has been doing better than me professionally for the longest time. She was gutsy enough to marry a man just for love and have faith in his talent. She is a rockstar; she was a professor, had her own PR firm in Chandigarh. She was also the programming head of a radio station in Punjab. She supported me in every possible way. I was a struggling actor, which is often a gamble. But there was never any ego between us. When there's love, there's no scope for ego. Most men in India aren't secure enough to be comfortable with such an arrangement. It comes with the family. It depends on how your father treats your mother. But a man, no matter where he comes from, could always trigger a change. If it's a patriarchal family, the dynamics are different. In my case, Tahira became the daughter in a household that had none.”
Tahira is now a director/producer by profession. She has even directed a short film, Toffee, which was produced by her dear hubby. Tahira soon wants to enter the world of directing feature films. She had also admitted in an interview with Deccan Chronicle that if Ayushmann fits in, she would love to direct him. She had shared:
“We have been friends before we got married. I have known him closely. I don’t have anything for him right now but if anything falls into place, I don’t mind directing him if he fits a character. Although I don’t know how that will work out… it will be a different experience for both of us.” Meanwhile, Tahira is also happy with the kind of right choices Ayushmann is making these days. She gushes, “I am proud of him. He is on the right track. He discusses all his scripts with me and he always wanted to be part of films that are high on content.”
On the work front, Ayushmann Khuranna was last seen in the film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
