For the unversed, the two music stars used to work together and had a cordial bond before they began taking public digs at one another. Badshah and Honey Singh's conflict has been well-known to every music enthusiast. A few months ago, the former expressed his desire to mend things with Honey Singh in a concert at Dehradun. But the latter denied the possibility of ever working with him in a recent interview. On September 4, 2024, Badshah sat down for an interview with Prakhar ke Pravachan and explained why he decided to put the differences aside.
The Tareefan singer said he realised he was holding an unrequited burden due to external noise. Badshah explained that his outburst against Honey Singh was due to unresolved feelings he had been carrying against the latter for years. He termed it as a mental burden and thought to take the chance of releasing it. In addition, the rapper said he had never held on to any feud for this long, but he was surprised when he couldn't let this one go. He was quoted as saying:
"This is for my mental peace and the greater vision I have for myself as an artist. Subliminal shots are part of the culture but to give it so much importance, you shouldn't do it."
A couple of days ago, Honey Singh sat down for an interview with The Lallantop and revealed whether he would collaborate with his former associates, Raftaar and Badshah, in the future. For the unversed, the conflict between them began in 2009 when Badshah and Honey Singh left their rap group, Mafia Mundeer and began passing disrespectful comments against one another in public. It also included other artists such as Raftaar, Ikka, and Lil' Golu.
Honey Singh mentioned he respects Raftaar, who made more diss tracks against him than Badshah because he is an artist who rose from the ground. Similarly, he was willing to work with Lil Golu and Ikka, who began their street artist careers. But he won't work with Badshah. In his words:
"Naarazgi apno se hoti hai, paraayo se nahi.. Client se nahi."
