Bappi Lahiri's Son, Recalls He Used To Get Bullied In School Because Of His Father's Unique Style

Legendary singer, Bappi Lahiri had left the entire nation heartbroken with his sudden demise. His millions of fans worldwide were in shock after hearing the news of their favourite singer's demise on February 15, 2022. However, it is the singer's family, whose entire world has changed. The family have been trying to cope with the void that Bappi Lahiri had left forever.

The world of music has lost one of the most precious gems after the death of Bappi Lahiri. For the unversed, the singer, who had ruled the 70s and 80s with his foot-tapping songs, had developed a chest infection and was treated for the same. However, his condition had worsened, and we had lost the biggest maestro of the singing world.

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri, recalled his childhood days when he used to get ragged because of his father. The star son, who had shared a loving bond with his father, revealed that his schoolmates used to tease him and would ask why his father used to wear sunglasses all the time. Bappa shared:

"I used to get ragged in school because of Dad's sunglasses. I was questioned by other students why he wore them. It wasn't easy. But to think of it, today such things have become a trend. I remember telling him about how I was teased, but he wouldn't alter. Unko jo pasand tha, woh karte the. It was his style. Mind you, those sunglasses had a number (power)."

Bappa also revealed that he had told his father that people ragged him in school because of his dressing style. But Bappi Lahiri had not paid any heed to it as it was his style. He shared:

"Yes, I did. But Dad was on his own when it came to his styling. I recall asking him why he wore sunglasses even 15 years ago: Dad, why do you need sunglasses on a flight at 5.30 am?"

Earlier, In an interview with The Times of India, Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri had quashed all the medical reports and had said that his father had died of a heart attack. He had shared that his heart had suddenly stopped. He was rushed to the hospital, but his heart could not be revived. 

Bappa had also revealed that his late father had spent the entire January in the hospital. However, he had always wished to go back home. He was discharged from the hospital on February 15, 2022. But when he was back, he had stopped eating and wasn't feeling well. His health had deteriorated by the evening, and the family had taken him to the hospital.
