'Bigg Boss OTT 3' contestant, Sana Makbul broke down as she talked about her battle with liver disease, Hepatitis.
Bigg Boss OTT is garnering much love and attention from viewers for its unique contestants this season. One such house inmate who has been loved from the very first day is Sana Makbul. The actress' unfiltered persona and sassy nature have won over viewers' hearts, but at the same time, Sana is equally emotionally vulnerable and doesn't shy away from showing that nature of herself.
Sana recently opened up about her health concerns and subsequently broke down into tears. The diva revealed that she suffers from liver disease, Hepatitis. The actress divulged that she has never in her life ever sipped on alcohol but is still diagnosed with the disease. In Sana's words:
"I've non-alcoholic Hepatitis- a liver disease. I'm one of those people who have never tasted alcohol in my life but has yet been diagnosed with it."

Sana considers herself lucky that she got diagnosed with the disease at an early stage of her life as people get to know about it at the last stage. This way, she could start medication and heal herself. Sana further added:
"People get to know about their liver disease mostly when they are in the last stage of it. I've been lucky in that case as I got to know about it pretty early."
Sana added that it was in 2021 when she was diagnosed with the disease. Talking about the dark time, Sana said that she couldn't get out of bed as she experienced excruciating pain and was confused as to what was wrong with her body. Sana added:
"In 2021 I didn't understand what I was going through. There were days where I couldn't even get up from the bed."

Earlier in a conversation with Poulami Das, Sana revealed that once a dog bit her face, and at this time, she was already a part of the glamour industry. The cut was deep, and she had to get surgery to cure her face. Poulami was shocked listening to the anecdote as for actors, their face is their bread and butter. Sana added that she was in depression after the surgery, and that was quite a dark phase in her life.
