Bollywood actress, Bhagyashree had won millions of hearts with her beautiful acting, innocent but stunning looks, gorgeous smile and dancing skills in her debut movie, Maine Pyaar Kiya, opposite Salman Khan. However, after her first movie, she had taken a long sabbatical from films to nurture and focus on her family. Even after 33 years, the actress still gets questioned whether she ever regretted choosing her family over her career. In a recent media interaction, she revealed the real answers to it.
For the unversed, Bhagyashree had eloped with the love of her life, Himalay Dassani and had tied the knot in 1990. In a recent interaction with ETimes, Bhagyashree opened up about her comeback on the television screens as being a judge on the dance reality show, DID Super Moms. She also revealed how she still hears the same question over and over again about leaving her acting career after Maine Pyaar Kiya. The actress shared:
"I am happy with the way things are shaping up. It feels great that people still remember me, it’s thanks to their love that I am here. You probably have people asking you that even now...(Laughs) My children laugh at this. My son, Abhimanyu, who has been promoting his film, says everyone asks him the same question again and again. I told him that I have been answering this question for the past 33 years!"
Further going into the interview, Bhagyashree revealed whether she had ever regretted choosing family over her career. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she never regretted anything in her life and that her children are the wind beneath her wings. In her words:
"I had the opportunity to look after my family and my home, and now when I have almost fulfilled my responsibilities, there’s good work coming my way. I am grateful for that. My children are the wind beneath my wings. So, no regrets because I feel I got the best of both worlds."
When she was asked how her husband, Himalay and children, Abhimanyu and Avantika, have been reacting to her comeback on the television screens, Bhagyashree mentioned that they have been very supportive and want her to live her dreams.

Further, in the conversation, when Bhagyashree was asked what advice she had given to her son, Abhimanyu when he had joined the industry, the doting mommy shared that she had tried to deter him from his dream. But, later she had accepted her son's wish and had advised him to enjoy his work. Bhagyashree said:
"When Abhimanyu expressed his desire to join films, I even tried to deter him because I know that life here isn’t stable, and you have to bear with the emotional upheavals that come along with this line of work. Initially, he felt angry that I wasn’t supporting him, but over a period of time, children understand things better. We can only be there to support them. They will have to take care of the brickbats that will come and enjoy the laurels of the hard work that they put in. The only thing I told him was, enjoy your work. If you do that, you will give it your 100 per cent."
On the work front, Bhagyashree was last seen in the reality show, Smart Jodi with her husband, Himalay Dassani.
