Bharti Singh broke down in tears in front of Malaika Arora. She recalled how people used to call her and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, 'Maa Beta'.
Bharti Singh is the epitome of women empowerment in India. The laughter queen sets her own rules and abides by them. While the comedian embraces her plus-size body, the tidal wave of judgement that brews on the internet will not seem unfamiliar to women who gets body-shamed on a daily basis for not being in the ideal shape and size.
Not only this, she also faced a flak by society for marrying Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who is two and a half years younger than her. Bharti, who has always been vocal about her personal life, recently shared details on Malaika Arora’s reality show about the times she faced immense hatred on the internet for marrying Haarsh.

The show, Moving In With Malaika saw Bharti Singh breaking down in tears as she recalled how some people used to write, “Bacche ke saath shaadi karli,” “Elephant met ant,” and “Maa aur beta.” She also recalled how people body-shamed her for overeating. She stated that people used to write, “Bas kar ladkiyaan itna nahi khati,” “Aagey chal ke kya karegi,” and “Tera vyaah nahi hoga.”
In the same conversation, Bharti said that the trolls don’t have any guts to say anything to her face. Malaika, who often gets age-shamed, seemed to agree with her. After this, Bharti talked about the nation’s hypocrisy, where they worship their daughters as Lakshmi and troll other women. She said:
"People who troll you or me, if we go in front of them, they will never be able to say a word. In this country, we say that a girl is Lakshmi. But who are these people who troll? Do they not have mothers or sisters?"

Apart from being a successful working woman, Bharti is also a doting mother to a baby boy, Laksh Limbachiyaa. Since the arrival of their little munchkin, Bharti and Haarsh’s life changed for good. They often share sneak peeks of Gola on their YouTube channel, Life Of Limbachiyaas.
