Bhumi Pednekar Recalls Receiving Her 1st Paycheck Of Rs. 7K From YRF, Says, 'I Gave To My Mom...'

Bhumi Pednekar talked about her first paycheck as an assistant casting director at Yash Raj Films. She also recalled being a part of Ranveer Singh's auditioning process.

For the unversed, the diva started her career in Bollywood with her debut movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Apart from this, she also treated her fans with some other power-packed performances in the movies like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Bala, and many more. However, in a recent interview, the actress walked down memory lane and recalled receiving her first paycheck. She also revealed that she was a part of the auditioning process of some well-known Bollywood actors, including Ranveer Singh.

Bhumi Pednekar recalls receiving her first-paycheck

In an interview with Mashable, Bhumi Pednekar shared that her first paycheck was from YRF (Yash Raj Films), and it was Rs. 7,000. The actress shared that she was extremely excited about the same and gave it to her mom. Bhumi also mentioned that her mom must still be having it. Moreover, talking along the same line, Bhumi shared that she had taken a loan as a film student, and most of what she used to earn would go towards repayment. Elaborating more on the same, Bhumi stated:

"My first paycheck was from Yash Raj Films. It was for Rs 7,000, and I was very excited. My first paycheck I gave to my mom, she must be still having it. I had taken a loan as a film student and most of whatever I used to earn would go towards the repayment of my loan.”

Bhumi Pednekar shares she was thrown out of her college because of attendance issues

In the same interview, Bhumi shared that she was thrown out of Whistling Woods College because of attendance issues. Further, in the interview, the actress stated that she got an offer from YRF as an assistant casting director. For those who don't know, Bhumi Pednekar worked as an assistant casting director for six long years, and did several kinds of jobs with the production house.

Bhumi Pednekar recalls being a part of the auditioning process of Pankaj Tripathi and Ranveer Singh

In the same interview, Bhumi Pednekar revealed that she auditioned Pankaj Tripathi for the film, Powder. The actress also shared that she was also a part of Ranveer Singh’s auditioning process for the movie, Band Baaja Baaraat. Talking more about the same, Bhumi stated that the moment Ranveer walked in, there was some 'weird' aura and energy everywhere. The diva shared that Ranveer was so driven to give his shot, and the actress even practised the lines with him. Calling the experience fantastic, Bhumi shared:

"I was a part of Ranveer’s auditioning process. And I remember, the moment he walked into the room, there was a weird aura, there was this energy, and he was so driven to give his best. And I actually did the lines with him. It was just so fantastic.”
