Nia Sharma is one of the popular television actresses in Tinseltown. She is known for her unique sartorial picks and straightforwardness. Over the years, Nia has been a part of numerous TV and reality shows and it is currently seen in Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment and Suhagan Chudail. A few days back, Rohit Shetty on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 announced that Nia is the first confirmed contestant of Salman Khan's show but now the actress has taken a U-turn.
A while back, Nia Sharma took to her Instagram stories and apologised to her fans for lying to them about her participation in Bigg Boss 18. Nia added that she is apologetic to all her fans and well-wishers, whom she has disappointed, but she had no say in it. Nia thanked her fans for the overwhelming support, which almost convinced her to get on the show. Nia further added:
“To the fans and well-wishers I have disappointed, Sorry. Truly been overwhelmed for the tremendous support, love and crazy hype! Almost made me realise what I have earned in the last 14 years. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy the hype and attention. But please don’t blame me. It wasn’t me.”
Nia further requested that everyone not blame her as she was not responsible for the fiasco. However, her fans are not all convinced by Nia's apology and are miffed with her for playing along with the show maker's strategy to create hype for the show.

A netizen commented, "Nia smartly placed all the blame on the makers when she is a contributor in this publicity stunt. She should have rejected this idea if she cared about her fans. She wanted the buzz as well & now is playing the victim card." While another user wrote, "KKK officially announcing her name, she accepting it and asking for 'wish me luck' to ch-mu, It looks like isne paise khaaye hai,to do that fake publicity stunt...just to create hype or seek attention...they fooled the audience, especially her fans."
