A look into the bizarre story of a man from Bihar named Vipin Kumar, who was in jail under the POSCO act but has now secured a government teaching job. Here's what had happened!
Bihar is one of the few states in India which never skips a chance to drop jaws. Time and again, we have seen so many inspiring, shocking, and bizarre stories coming from Bihar that are going viral on the internet. One such story is of a person named Vipin Kumar, who is from Bihar's Gaya. The incident is getting a lot of attention on social media as it has sparked a meme fest online, leaving everyone in splits and a bit concerned, too.
According to a report in Zee News India, Vipin Kumar is from Bihar and is currently lodged in Patna's Beur Jail. Interestingly, he was recently taken to the Mahabodhi Cultural Center in Bodh Gaya by the police with handcuffs on. Upon reaching the venue, Vipin took part in the distribution ceremony of the appointment letter. During the ceremony, Vipin received the appointment letter with handcuffs that shocked everyone.
For the uninitiated, Vipin Kumar is a resident of the Erki village. Before being sent to jail, he was working as a teacher at a coaching institute in Patna's Danapur. During that time, a minor girl who was one of the students at the institute filed a complaint against Vipin Kumar. The minor girl told her parents and police that her teacher, Vipin Kumar, touched her inappropriately. As soon as the complaint was lodged in the Danapur police station, Vipin was arrested under the POSCO Act.
Since then, Vipin Kumar has been in judicial custody at Patna's Beur Jail. Multiple times in front of the police and judge, Vipin claimed that the minor was making false allegations against him. He also labelled it as a conspiracy of his rival coaching centres who wanted to see his institute shut down. However, Vipin couldn't present evidence to prove that he was innocent, and as time passed, he was sent to judicial custody under the POSCO Act.
Just when everyone thought that Vipin Kumar's life was over and there was nothing he could do apart from cursing himself for his inappropriate behaviour with his minor student, upon realising his mistake, he started studying while being imprisoned in jail and started preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam. It was a difficult situation for Vipin because he wanted to prepare for such a competitive exam, and that too when he was in jail.
Against all the odds, Vipin Kumar started preparing for the BPSC exam and in a period of 18-month he cleared the TRI-3 exam. As a result, they secured the position of a teacher despite being in jail under the POSCO Act. Vipin received the letter of appointment in the presence of renowned figures like Nitish Mishra, Prem Singh, and Dr Tyagarajan SM. In a conversation with the media, Vipin Kumar talked about securing the government job of a teacher.
Vipin Kumar clearly stated that he is unsure whether he will be appointed as a teacher because of the POSCO Act. However, he also added that the allegations made against him by the minor girl were completely baseless. When Vipin was asked about his future, he said that he would educate other inmates in jail and try to better their lives with the power of education. Vipin Kumar said:
"If the court finds me guilty, my job will be cancelled. However, the allegations made by the student against me are completely baseless."
