Entering the marital phase surely does come with its own set of bliss, but also has its own set of responsibilities. You will now have a permanent roommate for life, who will irritate you, annoy you, be your partner-in-crime and also love you like anything. One of the hottest bong bombshells of B-town, Bipasha Basu's sister, Vijayeta Basu entered that phase recently. We shared with you two days earlier, a picture from Bengali wedding ritual, nandi mukh being held at the Basu household. Bipasha took to Instagram and shared a picture of the bride-to-be, all decked-up for her first wedding function. As per the ritual, elders of the house and the bride offer their prayers to the ancestors asking them to bless the bride and also seek permission for their marriage. Sharing the picture of her little sister from the same festivity, she wrote, “So my little one @vi_basu is taking baby steps towards her new adventure with @karantalreja #nandimukh #pujo #puppylove #puppywedding.” Her jiju, Karan Singh Grover too, posted a similar picture with the words, “My gorgeous sister! A new journey starts today with the #nandipuja All the best! May the universe bless you with abundance and love and joy at every step of the way!” for his saali. Checkout the pictures below:
And now, the newbie bride herself, her hubby, Karan Talreja and elder sister, Bipasha took to Instagram to post heartfelt wishes for the newly-wed couple. What looks like Vijayeta and Karan just had a private marriage registration ceremony, the newbie bride wrote, “So this happened. #married @karantalreja I love you so much! Cray cray!” and the ‘just turned’ bong dulha wrote, “The deed is done. @vi_basu, stay this crazy.” Vijaya too, posting the same set of pictures wrote, “By our powers combined! #Repost @karantalreja…The deed is done. @vi_basu, stay this crazy”, while Bipasha wrote, “Pups forever @vi_basu and @karantalreja #puppylove.”
Isn’t it amazing? Coming back to the Race star’s marital life, Bipasha had something really sweet to share about her in-laws in a last year interview, “Karan's family is very accepting, and I had started talking to them on facetime long before the wedding. Over the last two to three years, his parents have seen him change as a person, for the better. He had a lot of baggage around him, but slowly the choices that he made for himself started changing and his parents saw him coming back into his own self again. It is like starting life from scratch. These choices require a lot of strength. I don't take any credit for that.” (Must Read: Sangita Ghosh, 42, Says To Become A Mother She And Her Husband Need To Spend More Time Together)
Speaking about their relationship, her hubby, Karan shared, “These choices require a lot of strength from your partner, too. It's just that sometimes you drift away from your real self, and when your life is a little empty you fill it up with things you don't want. Then you realise what your life is all about and all those things start changing. It takes a lot of effort and encouragement.”
This was Karan’s third marriage to Bipasha. He was earlier married to Jennifer Winget and Shraddha Nigam. Revealing if his multiple marriages has ever bothered her, Bipasha had stated, “It didn't bother me and we spoke about it. I believe that everyone has a journey, and it is very easy for anyone to exclaim, "Oh...this is his third marriage, nahin chalega... divorce ho jaayega." I tell people that you have to be in someone's shoes to know their story and understand their journey. This world is full of cynics, and thankfully, I have never been cynical no matter what has happened in my life. I have always been a believer. And Karan is like that, too. I feel I am lucky, as I live only for love.”
She had further continued, “And no man has given me more love and respect than Karan. I might not be looking for the same thing in marriage, like others do. I have my own checklist, and I have ticked my boxes accordingly. And I believe you can't judge anyone for their bad relationships. I have had bad relationships, and I could have been easily married twice. The relationship could have been as deep, but I didn't fall into the legality and that is the only difference. You can't condemn someone on the basis of a piece of paper.” (Next Read: Dipika Kakar And Shoaib Ibrahim Gift Themselves A Luxury Car On Their First Wedding Anniversary)
We agree with you Bipasha and here’s wishing Vijayeta tonnes of congratulations on her new innings in life!
