Bipasha Basu's maternity photoshoot became the talk of the town, and we still can't stop gushing over the beautiful pictures. In an interview with ETimes, the mommy-to-be opened up about her maternity photoshoot and revealed the idea behind the same. She shared that she and her hubby, Karan Singh Grover, wanted to celebrate that now they are three while giving prominence to her baby bump. She said:
"When we did the maternity shoot, the idea was to celebrate that now we are three. And yes, we wanted to give prominence to my baby bump. Because that's my baby's home. And I find it extremely cute, women with baby bumps. So, there was not a plan as such because we had a wonderful team and the pictures were just supposed to be organic. We wanted a picture which would just basically show the love that we have between the three of us."
Further in the interview, Bipasha talked about the growing trend of maternity photoshoot and shared that social media has made it easier for them to connect with the audiences. Talking about the same, she shared that pregnancy is a beautiful phase, in which a woman experiences a lot of transformation in her body as magic is being made inside her belly. Calling it a beautiful moment to capture, the actress added:
"For us, the announcement of having a baby and sharing this wonderful news with the people who love us naturally had to happen on our platform. It's not done because it's a popular trend or anything. It's just that when there's a major announcement, professional or personal, from the time social media has started, we have our own platform to say what we want to say and connect with our audiences. I really think that it has become a popular trend. I just believe that it's a beautiful time where a woman is going through a lot of transformation and magic is being made inside her belly. So, if couples want to keep that memory and show it to their child once it is born, it's a beautiful moment to capture."
When Bipasha Basu had shared her maternity pictures, she received some flak on social media. In the same interview, the actress revealed how does she deal with such negativity on social media and shared that she's a body positive person, who loves to flaunt her body. Talking about the positivity that came along with the trolls, she mentioned that she is overwhelmed with all the love. She concluded:
"In life, everyone is entitled to an opinion and all opinions are respected. But I'm leading my life. And I will always focus on the 99% good rather than 1% negativity. That's the way to move on in life. I'm a body positive person. I believe that you have to love the body you live in. At this beautiful stage of life when I'm transforming into a mother and my body had changed, I want to celebrate it. I still want to live myself. I still want to flaunt it. Because this is not going to be there forever. I'd rather focus on the positivity around me and I get a lot of love from fans, media, people from the business and everyone else. I feel overwhelmed with the love and wishes that have come my way."
