Amidst the uncertainties of 'Blackpink' and YG Entertainment's contract renewal, the recent speculations of Jennie joining her rumoured boyfriend, 'BTS' V's agency, HYBE, has elated their fans.
Blackpink is one of the most successful girl bands not only in South Korea but also globally. The band was formed on August 8, 2016, and this year marked their seventh anniversary. Blackpink is known to rule both the billboard charts and the hearts of their fans. The recent developments suggest that all the Blackpink members except Rose are switching agencies. However, Jennie may join her rumoured boyfriend, BTS V’s agency HYBE, much to Blinks excitement.

It was previously speculated that Jennie might go solo and establish her own agency, but as per recent rumours, there is a high chance that she may have already signed a contract with HYBE. Jennie recently went live on Weverse (a South Korean social media platform), which was screen recorded and later uploaded on YouTube by a fan. HYBE took the video down per their copyright complaint, which led to rumours that HYBE is looking after their new joinee, Jennie.
Blinks and Army (BTS fans are called Army) were collectively elated with the possibility of Jennie joining her rumoured boyfriend, V’s agency, HYBE. However, a few other netizens pointed out that HYBE took the video down as the video was screen-recorded from Weverse, which HYBE owns. Hence, the video was violating HYBE's copyright rules.

As of now no official declaration has been made from YG Entertainment except that they are still negotiating the contracts with Blackpink members. If reports are to be trusted, Rose will continue with YG and Jennie and Jisoo may establish their own agencies where they will promote themselves and new talents. Lisa, on the other hand, may sign with an American agency.
If the members collectively decide to sign with other agencies, Blackpink’s future as a band will end. Let us know your views on Blackpink members signing with other agencies.
