As per reports, Jisoo is going to star in the upcoming zombie thriller, 'Influenza', opposite Park Jung Min. The announcement immediately sparked criticisms, some pointed out Jisoo's inability to act.
Kim Ji Soo, better known as Jisoo, is a renowned personality from South Korea, and she enjoys a massive fan following all across the world. She is one of the four members of the K-pop girl group, Blackpink. The 28-year-old actress and singer has starred in the 2021 romantic K-drama, Snowdrop alongside popular actor, Jung Hae In.
As per reports by YTN, Jisoo is all set to try her hands on another South Korean drama. She has been reportedly roped in as the lead actress in the upcoming zombie thriller, Influenza. She will star opposite the Hellbound actor, Park Jung Min.

If reports are to be believed, the 28-year-old actress-singer, Jisoo is set to return to the small screen after almost two years of hiatus. The eldest member of the girl group, Blackpink was on the group’s world tour, Born Pink. The tour came to a conclusion on August 30, 2023, at Los Angeles’ Dodgers stadium.
But Jisoo ensured that her fans had something to look forward to until the group’s next world tour. The reports that Jisoo will be featured in the upcoming K-drama, Influenza surfaced online on August 31, 2023, and made her fans extremely ecstatic about her upcoming project. The drama will be about a zombie apocalypse in which the life of the lead couple, played by Jisoo and Jung Min will be traced. As per reports, both the leads are still reviewing the offer and are yet to confirm anything on the same.
This drama is an adaptation of Han Sang Woon's novel of the same name. The screenplay is written by Han Jin Won, who is best known for his work on the Oscar-winning film, Parasite. Meanwhile, Yoon Seong Hyun, who has previously directed works such as Time To Hunt, will be directing the K-drama.

This zombie thriller drama will follow the journey of a soldier named ‘Jae Yoon’ (reportedly offered to Park Jung Min), who breaks up with his girlfriend ‘Young Joo’ (reportedly to be played by Jisoo). ‘Young Joo’, who has been sheltered for most of her life, is recovering from heartbreak and is eager to experience the world. She wants to reunite with her ex-boyfriend, but her plans are derailed when she encounters a zombie, forcing her to undergo a significant transformation as she fights for her survival.
Meanwhile, ‘Jae Yoon’, a 26-year-old male, is searching for employment in the defence field. He clung to his fiancée out of fear about his future but ultimately decided to end their relationship. Despite his doubts and insecurities, when faced with a zombie attack, ‘Jae Yoon’ takes charge and leads his platoon in the fight for their survival during the apocalypse.
As soon as the reports went viral, Jisoo’s fans could not keep their calm. But among all the well-wishers, there were comments from people, who did not agree with the announcement of casting Jisoo in the K-drama.
