Son of veteran actor, Dharmendra, Bobby Deol has been a part of many Bollywood films over the years. However, he didn't get any good work in his career until a few years ago. After giving a bunch of flop films, Bobby finally got a great role in web series like Ashram and Class of 83. Now, he will be seen next as the antagonist in his much-awaited film, Animal. Bobby will also grace the Koffee With Karan couch with his elder brother, Sunny Deol, and make many shocking revelations about his personal life.
During his appearance on the show, Bobby Deol will shed light on the low phase of his career and reveal how he started drinking way too much. The actor started pitying himself back then and was sitting at home, cursing himself in negativity. As reported by the Hindustan Times, Bobby said on the show:
“I gave up, I started pitying myself. I just took on drinking a lot, I was sitting at home. I used to keep cursing and saying, why don't people take me? I am good, why don't they want to work with me? I think I became so negative about everything, that there was no positiveness coming from me. I used to sit at home, my wife works."

Bobby Deol revealed that he kept sitting at his home, but one day, a comment from his son snapped something in him. He recalled how he once overheard his wife, Tanya's conversation with their son, wherein the latter asked his mom why she was working while his dad sat at home. Adding that it took him time to get into the right mind frame to become okay, Bobby said:
“Suddenly I heard my son saying, 'You know mom, papa sits at home, and you go to work every day'. Something snapped in me. I just said, no I can't! It was a slow process when I got out of it, it took me time to get into the right mind frame to become okay. It can't happen overnight.”
Further in the conversation, Bobby said that while his parents and siblings were always there by his side, he had to walk on his own feet to change things. He recalled how he became more focused and serious with time and started meeting people. The actor also shared that he visited many directors, asking them for work, and added that Karan Johar was one of them. Bobby was quoted as saying:
“My brother, my dad, my mom, my sisters, they were always there. You cannot always do anything holding someone’s hand. You have to walk on your two feet. Then things started changing. I became more focused, more serious and when you focus and you have that energy in you. I mean I have gone and met so many people, I said to myself, I will go and meet people, tell them I want to work with you all. I came to you also, you still haven't worked with me.”
