Once, in an interview, Bobby Deol was asked about the advantages of being Dharmendra's son, but the actor revealed that he faced many problems in Bollywood for being a star kid.
Bobby Deol is the younger son of veteran actor, Dharmendra and his first wife, Prakash Kaur. He has three siblings, Sunny Deol, Vijeta and Ajeeta. While Dharmendra entered into the world of films and became a prominent face, his sons, Sunny and Bobby couldn't match his legacy. Initially, Sunny was also among the A-listers of his generation and enjoyed a huge stardom. So, when Bobby joined Bollywood, he was constantly compared to his dad and brother.
Once in an interview, Bobby Deol opened up about being a star kid and revealed the disadvantages of the same. He shed light on the nepotism debate and shared that he was constantly compared to his father, Dharmendra and brother, Sunny Deol. He said:
"It was an advantage initially. But beyond that, it's only your hard work, talent and luck that count. There are so many actors who come every Friday and vanish. I feel those newcomers who aren't from the industry have one advantage. The audience goes expecting nothing. I was compared not just with my dad but also with my brother."
