Bobby Deol Reveals Why He Missed Having Dad Dharmendra's Presence At Home, Talks About His Childhood

Bobby Deol talked about his childhood days with his dad, Dharmendra and revealed why he missed his presence at home.

Son of veteran actor, Dharmendra, and brother of actor, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol had followed the footsteps of his father and brother and had entered Bollywood. He had made every girl go weak in their knees with his debut film, Barsaat and with his killer looks, had become a huge sensation overnight.

Bobby had got married to the love of his life, Tania Ahuja in 1996. The couple had embraced parenthood for the first time in 2002 and had welcomed their son, Aryaman Deol. They had welcomed their second son in November 2004 and had named him Dharam after his grandfather.

Bobby Deol shares a great camaraderie with his father, the legend, Dharmendra and we have often seen the doting son heaping praises on his papa. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bobby talked about his relationship with his dad, Dharmendra and how it impacted his equation with his son, Aryaman and Dharam. Talking about his childhood days with Dharmendra, Bobby revealed he missed his father's presence at home and said:

"I used to miss having him at home. Sometimes he would take me to shoot locations but even then, he would be busy. He would literally be working round the clock, so that he could build a lovely empire for us. He would even sleep on sets."

Being a doting dad, Bobby further revealed why he thinks that spending time with kids when they are young is important. Talking about the same, he shared:

"I'm from a different generation. I believe that the time you spend with your kids when they’re young is very precious because it brings you closer to them. You don’t have to wait to get older to be friends with them."

Tagged as the 'He-Man' of Bollywood, Dharmendra had tied the knot with Prakash Kaur in the year 1957 when he was just nineteen years old. The couple has four children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeeta Deol and Vijeeta Deol. Despite it, the actor had married Hema Malini and had converted his religion to Islam, so that he could keep his two marriages. And with Hema Malini, Dharmendra has two daughters, Esha and Ahana.

On December 8, 2021, Dharmendra turned 86 and his elder son, Sunny Deol and younger son, Bobby Deol had wished him in the most adorable manner. While Sunny had written, "Happy Birthday PAPA love you." Bobby had captioned his post as:

"My papa the legend. Wish you love from the bottom of my heart. So blessed to be your son #HappyBirthday."

On the work front, Dharmendra will share screen space with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in Apne 2!
