Amid murmurs about Dharmendra re-marrying Hema Malini on their 44th anniversary, Bobby Deol teased his father for being the ultimate romantic.
Dharmendra has been one of the most evergreen romantics, when it comes to Indian cinema. The handsome hunk of the ‘70s and ‘80s, he has swooned millions of female fans with his charismatic persona in real life, as well as his heart-touching romantic portrayals on the celluloid. Even at the age of 88, Dharmendra still shines bright with his captivating romantic performances on films. One of such was his 2023 release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, wherein the senior actor received a lot of appreciation for his on-screen chemistry with Shabana Azmi.
Bobby Deol, along with his elder brother, Sunny Deol, recently graced Kapil Sharma show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. During a fun interaction, the host asked Bobby to remark how much out of 100 points he would distribute between himself, Sunny and their father, Dharmendra, when it came to being romantic. To this, Bobby wittily teased his dad and said:
“Papa will get 1 lakh. We won’t get anything (laughs). No one is as romantic as Papa. Do you all agree with that?”

In another segment of the interaction on Kapil Sharma’s show, a fan shared to Bobby Deol how his three-marriages in the film, Animal inspired the former to do so in real life, which is wife hasn’t agreed upon. Hearing this, Bobby burst out in peals of laughter and sassily responded:
“The problem is that Deols are very romantic. Humara dil bharta he nahi. But true love exists and I have been married for 28 years. And I am very blessed that I have a wonderful, simple, beautiful woman called Tanya, who’s my wife.”
Previously, in an interview with Filmibeat, Bobby Deol opened up about his father, Dharmendra’s reaction to the enormous love and appreciation the former received for his brutal role in the film, Animal. The doting son expressed how his father was quite overwhelmed, and resonated with the audience going mad over Bobby’s performance.

Well, Dharmendra truly happens to be a sheer romantic, and proof of the same was found in the manner in which he rang in his 44th anniversary with wife, Hema Malini. In a picture which has been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time now, the celebrity couple could be seen wearing identical, huge garlands, as they celebrated so many years of their togetherness.
