If there is one actress who appeared to have descended from heaven and looked every bit of royal and divine like a goddess on her D-day, it has to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Bachchan bahu looked absolutely ravishing in a royal golden Kanjeevaram saree and decked with exquisite gems and stones. Aishwarya stuck to heavy gold, Kundan and emeralds to complete her wedding day look.
Aishwarya wore a grand and elaborate diamond and gold haar and followed it up with two layers of kundan necklaces with a huge emerald attached to it at the centre. All the haars together looked like a royal raani-haar. Not to be missed is her magnificent kundan, diamond and gold embroidered three chains matha patti. We are sure when Anushka Sharma walked down the aisle, wearing that every bit of dreamy and princess-y, pale pink lehenga designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Anushka decided to play down low with her make-up and let her bridal lehenga and jewellery do all the talking. Anushka wore spectacular matha patti, magnificent haar and huge earrings all made with uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel, Japanese cultured pearls. Her jewellery for her wedding day was sourced from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery Collection.
Now, Esha might not have had a hit run at the box office, but her wedding day look was a total blockbuster. Esha’s temple style, traditional jewellery ticked all the right boxes. The Deol girl opted for conventional, heavy gold jewellery but added ruby, emerald and pearls to give it a contemporary touch. Her matha patti was made of gold and also with beautiful ruby and gems to make it match with her bridal lehenga.
For her wedding, Shilpa Shetty went all out and wore some over-the-top jewellery, which we don’t mind at all. Shilpa wore magnanimous gold haar embedded with diamonds and emeralds. Pataudi family’s darling daughter, Soha, nailed her wedding day look completely. She wore a traditional gold and kundan jhoomar/passa, a kundan necklace embedded with diamonds, a layered emerald neckpiece, a golden nose ring and bangles. She does look every bit of a royal highness, doesn’t she?
Another actress who completely wowed us with her wedding day look and took us back to the Mughal era has to be Dia Mirza. The diva looked striking in traditional jewellery which comprised of a passa/jhoomar, bangles, maang teeka, layered haar and jhumkas. Dia’s golden passa and maang teeka embedded with rubies and precious stones, her gold, pearl and emerald embedded necklace completely stole the show on her wedding day.

Her soft kaliree, chooda, huge gold and kundan neckpiece, ruby embedded kundan jhumkas and gold and kundan maang teeka; everything looked straight out of a royal wedding.
