Released in 2007, the movie, Guru, was loosely based on the real life of business mogul, Dhirubhai Ambani. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and other actors, including Mithun Chakraborty, and Vidya Balan, R Madhavan, and Roshan Seth. While Abhishek’s character in the movie was based on Dhirubhai Ambani, Aishwarya played his wife, Kokilaben Ambani's character.
The story is about a teenage boy Gurukant, who always failed to please his father. After growing up, he couldn't secure a good job in India thus, decided to go to Turkey. After coming back to India, he wanted to start a business but had faced financial crises. In the movie, Aishwarya's character was a pillar of strength for Abhishek's character during his struggling days, just like Dhirubhai Ambani and his wife, Kokilaben who always supported her husband, in his journey of becoming the richest man. The movie's music was composed by AR Rahman, who had received the Award for the Best Music and Best Background Score in the Filmfare Awards and in the IIFA Awards.
Released in 2008, the movie, Jodhaa Akbar is produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Set in the sixteenth century, the movie stars Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Sonu Sood in the main lead.
The movie, Jodhaa Akbar is about a sixteenth-century love story of the Mughal Emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. They had married because of an alliance, which had later converted into true love between the two. Akbar was a powerful emperor, whose empire extended from the Himalayas to the Godavari river and Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal. And after winning the allegiance of the Rajputs, he had married the fiery Rajput princess, Jodhaa. After their marriage, the daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa had resented being a pawn in their marriage. However, Akbar had never seen her in that way. So, his focus had shifted from winning battles to winning Jodhaa’s love, in which he had finally succeeded. Thus, Jodhaa Akbar is their untold love story.
Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer, Raazi is helmed by Meghna Gulzar and was released in 2018. In the movie, Alia had played the role of a Kashmiri woman, Sehmat, who got married to a Pakistani officer, played by Vicky, to send classified information to India during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971.
This spy thriller revolves around the life of 'Sehmat', a RAW agent, who was married to a Pakistani officer by her father. Moreover, the film was adapted from the 2008 novel, Calling Sehmat by Harinder Sikka. Sehmat had risked her life and given out crucial information about the war strategies of Pakistan. Sehmat's husband and her in-laws were kind people and treated her as their own. Though Sehmat had no professional training, she managed to send confidential messages to India. However, she fell in love with her husband and even got pregnant. But she had to leave him when her truth was exposed and thus their love story never got complete.
Released in 2021, Shershaah is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, a character played by Sidharth Malhotra, who lost his life during the Kargil conflict. The movie is a tribute to the brave hearts, who had laid their lives to protect the pride of the nation in the toughest warfare ever. The director, Vishnu Vardhan and the writer, Sandeep Srivastava, had beautifully represented the milestones of the war, and Sidharth had done justice to the role.
The movie chronicles the life events of Vikram Batra, starting from his childhood days to him falling in love with Dimple Cheema (played by Kiara Advani), and finally laying off his life for the nation. Sidharth and Kiara had performed beautifully, with her being a resolute Sardarni, who is in love from head to heels. Vikram secretly married Dimple in a gurdwara, without her being aware of it. In addition, he also filled her maang with his own blood and had addressed her as 'Mrs Batra'. But unfortunately, Vikram sacrificed his life for the nation, leaving Dimple behind. The songs of the movie featuring Kiara are a treat to the ears. Moreover, Shershaah is the love story of the unsung warrior, Captain Vikram Batra, with his forever soulmate, Dimple Cheema.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie stars late Sushant Singh Rajput, Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, and Anupam Kher. The movie is based on the life of former Indian National cricket team captain, M.S. Dhoni, especially his journey to stardom in the realm of cricket. M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story is an ode to Dhoni's fans, friends, and family members who had stood right beside him in his days of success and failure.
The movie revealed some unknown shades of Dhoni's personal life including a tragic incident that broke him. Our Captain Cool was madly in love with his girlfriend, Priyanka Jha, who was not only his true love but also his strength. However, God had his own plans, and Priyanka died in an accident in 2002. The movie, Mary Kom stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa in the lead characters. Released in 2014, it is based on the life of Chungneijang (Mary Kom, in short), a young woman from Manipur, an avid dreamer, who has loved boxing since childhood.
When she had met Singh, a renowned coach, who runs a gym, she had decided on becoming a fighter. Also, at one point in her life, her father had asked her to choose between him and boxing, and with determination, she had chosen boxing. However, with her hard work and courage, she became a champion and became popular. Also, she had fallen in love with her long-time friend, Onler, a character played by Darshan Kumaar, but her coach had thought that her marriage will distract her from her goal. However, Mary had chosen to marry Onler, got pregnant, and gave birth to beautiful twins. Nevertheless, her husband motivated her to continue her passion for boxing, inspired her, and even helped her in becoming a world champion.
Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra Jonas played the role of a couple, and are the main leads of the movie, The Sky Is Pink. Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf played the characters of the couple's daughter and son, respectively. The movie was directed by Shonali Bose and had hit the screens in 2019.

Released in 2016, this crime thriller was helmed by Tinu Suresh and written by Vipul K Rawal. Rustom is based on the real-life events of Naval Officer, K.M. Nanavati who shared a cordial relationship with his wife, Sylvia, and they together formed a 'perfect couple'. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta, and Arjan Bajwa.
K.M. Nanavati was a naval officer, who along with his English wife, Sylvia and three children, lived in Mumbai. Sylvia loved her husband with all her heart, but she also felt aloof even when her husband, Kawas was by her side. As Kawas was often travelling because of his job, she had started an affair with his close friend, Prem Ahuja. However, later she found out that Prem was an unapologetic playboy.
