A video went viral, showing a mother taking a bold step for her daughter. Asked the drunk 'baraat' to return after calling off the wedding.
Weddings are supposed to be beautiful, filled with love, happiness, and blessings from family and friends as two people join in a holy union. However, what should happen if someone taints this auspicious occasion with alcohol, brawl and disrespect? A mother from Bengaluru took a bold step for her daughter's future and sent the baraat back after the groom and his friends came drunk to the wedding.
Recently, a video went viral on social media, where a bride's mother had to take a stern step and called off the wedding for her daughter's better future. According to the reports, the bride's mother had to make this decision after the drunk groom and his friends allegedly created chaos while under the influence in Bengaluru. In the video circulating on the internet, the bride's mother politely asked the baraat (groom's side) to go back.
The mother of the bride had to make the difficult decision of calling off her own daughter's wedding. However, she felt the occurrences gave her enough insight into the groom's life, and it wasn't something the bride's mother wanted for her daughter. For the unversed, it is being reported that the reason behind such a drastic step was the despicable behaviour the groom and his friends exhibited.
According to the sources, the groom and his friends were wasted when they arrived at the venue. In their drunk conditions, they started a ruckus ahead of the marriage ceremony. If the reports are to be believed, the groom even threw aarti ki thali in a filmy manner. This incident proved to be the last straw for the bride's mother, and she decided to call off the wedding altogether.
The groom's behaviour on his wedding day concerned the bride's mother. She didn't want a chaotic future for her daughter, and for her daughter’s respect and future, she called off the wedding. Addressing the groom's side, the mother stated that if this is now the groom is behaving on the day of his wedding, what will her daughter's future be like. She was quoted saying:
"Abhi se aise tevar hain, toh aage apni beti ke bhavishya ka kya hoga"
Since the occurance, the video has been shared on numerous social medias. The now viral video has garnered attention from across the country and the netizens are prasing the mother for her stance. An Instagram user took to the comment section and wrote, 'So proud of her for doing this!' Many social media users even called the bride's mother a hero and commened her for saving her daughter's life. While another user penned:
"I am proud of her, traditional mothers will say it's alright, don't say anything. happy that the stereotypes are being broken for future of the women. People are not thinking of society but their daughters."
