A Designer Bride Wore A Pink Sabysachi 'Lehenga' With Rajasthani Jewellery For Her Beach Wedding

Harshita Singhvi, who is a designer and celebrity stylist decided to create a blend of traditions and modern values for her Marwari style beach wedding.

When you tie the knot with the one you love, your wedding becomes a hell of a crazy yet memorable ride. Every girl takes inspiration from the bridal avatars of their favourite celebrities. She starts to imagine if she would have pulled off the similar lehenga for her wedding or not. All the brides-to-be take a note of the makeup, jaimala, jewellery, hairdo and lehenga with every bride picture they see. And of late, it seems that designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee has become every bride’s favourite.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee has become a rage when it comes to bridal lehenga right after he had dolled up Anushka Sharma for her wedding. The famous dialogue, shaadi karungi to Kareena Kapoor wala lehenga pehen kar hi karungi, has now been changed to shaadi karungi to Sabyasachi ka lehenga pehen kar hi karungi. And why not! The designer offers a wide range of bridal lehengas and the motifs and designs he offers talk highly about the rich Indian tradition and culture. Meet our designer-cum-celebrity-stylist bride, Harshita Singhvi Jain from Ajmer.

For her wedding, Harshita Singhvi had decided to be a Sabyasachi bride and shine in her day wedding at a beach in Goa. The bride had opted for a pink-hued lehenga with contrasting heavy hand embroidery. Her lehenga was embroidered all over with floral patterns in the colours of fuchsia, turquoise and yellow and had a broad three-layered border at the end. Along with it, she had worn a choli-cut blouse with light floral embroidery. She had draped one net dupatta with a three-layered border on her shoulder and a similar dupatta was pinned over her head as a veil.

Harshita had kept her makeup subtle for her day wedding. To accentuate her look, she had added green and golden necklace with matching earrings and a delicate nath. However, her Rajasthani mathapatti with mangteeka and haathphool stole the limelight. She had opted for bangles in the shades of pink and gold and her traditional kadha made her entire outfit look, like a blend of traditions with modern values. Her groom, Bhavya Jain had opted for a white sherwani with a multi-layered necklace with golden safa and kundan kalgi. For her phere, she had added a red and gold bandhani dupatta to her look and had added traditional headgear.

For her haldi ceremony, Harshita had opted for a mustard outfit from the fashion designer, Jayanti Reddy. With a heavily embellished bralette top, she had paired up her mustard dhoti pants and wore yellow and white floral jewellery with it. Her makeup artist gave her side braided beachy waves with a pop of yellow colour on her eyes and nude lips.

For her mehendi ceremony, Harshita had worn a gorgeous ensemble from the brand, Papa Don’t Preach By Shubhika. The designer had opted for a rust orange lehenga with intricate details made with stone and mirror work on the kalis and a unique studded blouse. She had completed her look with pink liner for the eyes. For her tresses, her makeup artist, Khushnuma gave her Dutch-braided hair with soft curls.

Harshita had opted for a mauve outfit for her engagement. She had worn a shimmery mauve bustier top with a skirt that had floral thread work all over it. Along with it, she had carried a brown net dupatta with a cutwork embellished border. She completed her look with diamond jewellery. Her makeup artist kept her eyes soft smokey with a touch of mauve shade and gave her half-up soft curls.

For her reception, Harshita had opted for an all-red look. The bride had donned a red shimmery lehenga from the designer, Shantanu and Nikhil, with an off-shoulder blouse. She had accentuated her look with diamond jewellery and her mangalsutra. Her husband, Bhavya Jain complemented her in a black suit with a white shirt and black tie.

Harshita totally nailed every look of her different functions, giving us a feel of how the brides these days totally know how to incorporate traditional values with a modern touch!
