The bride of the week opted for a modern 'phulkari' lehenga which is made out of 'zari' and crystal work from the shelves of Manish Malhotra. Check it out!
Brides across the world look gorgeous and beautiful in their own unique way. But whenever we think of an Indian bride, the first picture that instantly comes to our mind is of a girl, decked up in a red lehenga with heavy jewellery. Hence, a red lehenga is a synonym for an Indian bride. However, in recent years, more and more brides are ditching the red lehenga and donning pretty pastels.
While brides are opting for more and more different colours of ensembles for their big day, many stick to the traditional red lehenga. And the bride of the week is no different. She left us stunned in a gorgeous red lehenga with a modern take on the phulkari design from the shelves of Manish Malhotra.

The bride of the week, Palak Kalra, lives in the United Kingdom. The gorgeous bride had opted for a Manish Malhotra lehenga for her biggest day over a video consultation. Her red lehenga had a modern take on the traditional phulkari design. It was embroidered in shades of gold zari, sequins, beads, and crystals. The lehenga skirt was paired with a geometrical embellished bugle beaded choli and a dupatta with tasselled border.
The bride made sure not to over-accessorise herself with layers of jewellery. In fact, she kept her look clean with a green emerald and polki choker, a long necklace, matching earrings, a nath, a maang teeka and a passa. Her red chooda and doli kaleeras completed her wedding day look.

The bride chose soft and dewy makeup. Instead of smokey glittery eyeshadow, she had picked soft eyes with mascara-filled lashes, defined brows and pink-toned lipstick. Her hair was tied in a centre-parted bun.
We love the bride's gorgeous red lehenga from designer, Manish Malhotra's collection!
