Answer: In India, marriage is a sanctimonious occasion. The beginning of a new life is associated with a lot of pious and mythical rituals. So it is not surprising that the color black has always been cast off from any marriage related proceedings. But since you are very much interested in a black wedding dress, then you are advised not to wear absolute black but some subtle shades of it.

Go in for grey shades with heavy embroidery in silver threads. They may not suffice your love for black, but they will definitely give you the look you want and also appease your family members and in-laws.

Also, go for brown. There is no lore associated with this color and is also highly acceptable as wedding color. Brown may not impart the elegance and smartness of black but it will definitely perk up things for you. Dark shades often give you a mesmerizing aura that lifts your entire look.

Since you are keen on not spoiling your day so take a crooked route to your desire. On your wedding please yourself but don’t hurt the sentiments of others. So include black colour in your wedding attire but in a different way than getting a whole dress of it.
