Simran Malhotra’s life came to a blissful halt on her wedding day, when she realised that her husband, Frank Gregoire, had the most startling gift for her. With the help of his mother-in-law, Frank Gregoire, decided to surprise his bride by crooning, Tum Hi Ho, a track from Bollywood’s 2013 hit movie, Aashiqui 2. Although he comes from a family of musically talented folks, it took Frank almost six months to learn the lyrics, accent, and piano chords right.

The best part of this entire wedding performance video captured by AVP Studios, was Simran’s shocking reaction, when she heard Frank singing in Hindi. Simran and Frank exchanged vows as per Sikh and Christian traditions in Baltimore, Maryland, in front of family and friends, on June 27, 2015.

Frank Gregoire who hails from Sherbrooke, Quebec, at first wanted to write and read a poem for his wife. But, later decided to surprise her with a Bollywood song instead. While talking to The Huffington Post Canada, Simran said:
“My heart sank when I first heard him sing in Hindi. It was a feeling I had never felt before".
She further mentioned:
"The only thing I was thinking was, 'How did he manage to do this?' I was the only one at the reception who knows how hard he truly works."

When Frank was asked about why he chose this particular track for his bride, he had these beautiful words to say:
"At the time I approached Simran's mom and she recommended a few options, one of which was Tum Hi Ho. Once I read the translation, I realised I couldn't have found anything more perfect to express my feelings to her."
Simran Malhotra, 27, hails from Toronto and met her then future husband when she was beginning her medical residency. Gregoire, 36, at that time was just starting a job as a critical care physician at the same place.

Well, talking about Frank, Simran added:
"Frank is the most fun-loving guy I know. He can make anyone fall in love with him; whether it be my 10-year-old niece, my 89-year old-granddad, my best friend, one of his patients or a stranger on the street."
And, with this grand gesture for his lady love, Frank surely proved her words right, don't you agree?
