Celebrity Hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani's Latest Photoshoot Will Definitely Leave You Awestruck

The definition of marriage has undergone a sea change in the twentieth century. With live-in relations and same sex marriage garnering acceptance, the outlook towards marriage is certainly transforming. However, Sapna Bhavnani, who rose to fame after her short yet controversial stint in Bigg Boss season 6 has a totally different take on the institution of marriage. She did not try to defy the concept of marriage or go against it. But, what she did is indeed commendable. Instead of marrying a person, she decided to marry things which are close to her heart.

Sapna Bhavnani is a celebrity hairstylist and has also contributed in the field of fashion, writing, entertainment, photography and reality television. This 45-year-old lady has been into three failed marriages. Not the one to get depressed and frustrated about her personal life going awry, she went to a solo Europe trip after she was finally single.

What happened at a shop in Berlin changed her attitude towards marriage. She wanted to try a wedding gown but she was denied one, owing to her numerous body tattoos, shaved head and clumsy figure. At that point of time, she realised why the world was so obsessed towards perfection and decided to challenge the notion head on.

With what can be deemed as a debunking the idea of marriage she released her photography catalogue, which showcases her taking wedding vows with things, places and even a deceased friend.

#1. First and foremost she decided to marry herself. It is so important to respect oneself.

“With this marriage, I promise to love, respect, and cherish myself in rain and shine. Till death do us part.”

#2. She also took wedding vows with her beloved cat. When you love someone, you are with them till their end and that’s what she wanted to convey here.

She said:

“With this marriage, I promise to be there when you get old and crabby (not that that will ever happen). When your meows gradually fade to silence, I promise to be your foundation. I’ve become strong now for you to lean on me. My sweet feline, I love you. Till death do us part.”

#3. She marries the city of dreams, a.k.a. Bombay. Well, the place where you spent your childhood is often the most special place. It is a duty to love that place unconditionally.

“With this marriage, I promise to make you as beautiful as you make me feel; by walking gently on your skin, by planting smiles on your naked rocks when the hot sun beats down on them and by not judging you for the garbage thrown by us. I am Bombay. I am you and you are me. Till death do us part.”

#4. Then she decided to wed her ink- the tattoos all over her body. Life has its own share of pain and agony and to face it with courage is what is needed.

She also said:

“With this marriage, I promise to never take you for granted. There were moments when you reached out to talk but I was always busy. ‘Cuz no one pays any attention to those who smile all the time.
