Television celebrities are having a face-off on who's better at cooking on 'Celebrity MasterChef'. Here's all about the fees they are charging!
MasterChef India is back on television but with a twist! This year, instead of the general public, celebrities will have a face-off to find out who is the MasterChef of India. The reality show had a great opening on January 27, 2025. Famous celebrities such as Dipika Kakar, Tejasswi Prakash, Nikki Tamboli, Faisal Shaikh a.k.a. Mr. Faisu, Usha Nadkarni, Kabita Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, and Abhijeet Sawant are participating in the show. The show will be judged by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Farah Khan.
The television stars donning the MasterChef aprons looked intriguing, but many fans are wondering about the fees they would be charging as playing with fire is a task in itself. According to Telly Talks, famous television actress, Dipika Kakar, who was first seen in Sasural Simar Ka, is taking home Rs. 2.3 lakh per week.
Talking about the social media influencer, Mr Faisu, he is charging Rs. 2 lakh. On the other hand, Bigg Boss 14, Nikki Tamboli is getting Rs. 1.5 lakh per week. However, the highest-paid contestant on the show is Tejasswi Prakash as she is reportedly charging Rs. 3 lakh per week, and the second highest-paid contestant is Gaurav Khanna, who is going to get Rs. 2.5 lakh weekly.
Nikki, who is the youngest contestant on the show, impressed the judges with her culinary skills. She got a spoon-tap from the judges on the opening day of the show. For those who don't know, a spoon-tap is a way of showing appreciation for the contestants for the food they have cooked.
Talking about Dipika, it marks her return to television after a significant gap. The actress was busy taking care of her family, and later, she got pregnant and took a maternity leave. Now, her son, Ruhaan often accompanies her on the sets of MasterChef while she is proving her calibre on the show.
Dipika Kakar loves cooking, which is evident on her YouTube channel, where she often shares snippets of her life. She would often cook for huge birthday gatherings at home. From baking cakes to making pizzas, pasta and whatnot, Dipika is an expert. It is her talent that made her say 'yes' to Celebrity Masterchef.
