'Celebrity MasterChef' is soon going to premiere on Sony TV and ahead of it fans expressed their disappointment for over-dramatising the show and compare it to 'Laughter Chefs'
Culinary reality shows have always been an audience pleaser in India, and MasterChef is no new name. This time around, the franchise is coming back with a celebrity edition where we will see several known faces on the culinary battlefield. The season stars Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, Tejasswi Prakash, Niki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia and many more. While a few promos of the show are out, fans have a few complaints about the season.
Culinary show fans were excited when they first learned that MasterChef was coming back on screen, with celebrities as contestants. it seemed like the show will be a rival to Colos' Laughter Chefs, but unfortunately, fans were not pleased by the over-dramatisation of the characters.
From Dipika crying over nothing to Rajiv getting bashed by Farah Khan for trivial reasons. Celebrity MasterChef is all about drama and fans are not happy about it. They miss the OG show and wish that this time, too, they would have followed the same concept.
A fan wrote, "Colors have Laughter Chefs and Sony has Tear Chefs." While another penned, "Why do they have to bring celebrities everywhere? This show was about giving common people a chance to show their cooking talent to the world. But as usual Indian actors think they can do everything from cooking to playing cricket." A fan commented, "I thought it would be a fun and entertaining show but all they are doing is gaining viewership through boring and fake melodrama like any other reality show. I hope it's a huge flop."

Dipika Kakar's love for cooking is palpable, as seen on her YouTube channel where she shares glimpses of her culinary journey. Her expertise in cooking, from baking cakes to making pizzas and pastas, is a testament to her passion and dedication. It was this love for cooking that led her to accept the challenge of Celebrity Masterchef, hosted by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Farah Khan.
In a recent show teaser, we witness a heartwarming moment as Dipika rushes to prepare a dish. Despite her initial nerves, the judges were impressed with her creation. Overwhelmed with emotion, Dipika tearfully explained to Farah Khan that she was representing those who had been criticized for their cooking. Her words were a powerful testament to the challenges faced by home cooks.
"Mai unko represent karna chahti hoon jinko yeh bol kar dabaya jata hai ki, 'Arey kitchen mein khana hi to banati hai.' Haan, hoon mai home cook."
