Charu Asopa talks about her pregnancy journey and revealed details of her intimate baby shower ceremony, organised by her in-laws.
Charu Asopa is enjoying all the attention and pampering from her family and in-laws as she is expecting her first baby with Rajeev Sen. It was in May 2021, when Charu had announced the news of her pregnancy, making her fans happy. And since then, we have been witnessing glimpses from her pregnancy diary.
On August 23, 2021, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen shared glimpses from her baby shower ceremony which took place in their new home. For the baby shower, Charu had looked gorgeous in an orange and red coloured bandhani lehenga style saree. She had accessorised her look with flower jewellery that included a maang teeka, bracelet, and neckpiece. On the other hand, Rajeev had donned a golden coloured sherwani.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Charu revealed how she had nausea during the initial phase of her pregnancy and said, "It has been good so far. My mother has come here, and so has the entire family. A lot of festivals are lined up, and I’m getting pampered a lot. Earlier I used to have nausea, but now my health is much better and my appetite has also improved."
Charu further shared details about her intimate baby shower and revealed how her husband, Rajeev Sen, sister-in-law, Sushmita Sen and other family members organised the ceremony. In her words, "He came back from Delhi, he had gone there for some work. The theme we decided had to be Indian and simple, because we’re in the pandemic times. We can’t have a large gathering of people, so just our family, didi (Sushmita Sen, sister-in-law), the kids, and a few close friends."

In an interview with The Times of India, Charu had spoken about the surreal feeling when she had heard the heartbeat of her baby for the first time. Talking about the magical moment, Charu had stated, “The moment I got goosebumps was when I did my first sonography in 6th week. I still get goosebumps when I recall hearing my baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Oh my god, it was magical, unbelievable. That’s the first time I realised that I have another human inside me. It’s a very different feeling and can’t be described in words.”
To share the news of her pregnancy, Charu had taken to her IG handle on May 21, 2021, and had shared gorgeous pictures, flaunting her baby bump. Looking stunning in her beige-coloured dress, Charu’s pregnancy glow was unmissable. She had captioned the pictures as “Grateful, thankful, blessed.” On the other hand, Rajeev had shared a picture with Charu, where the two had looked adorable in their traditional attires and had written, “Happiness is on the way #weare3.”

Charu Asopa is due in November 2021.
