Dusty roads. Leather jacket. And a killing machine.
All this in one frame and we end up thinking about a handsome hunk riding a Royal Enfield or a superbike. But here’s one woman who broke all stereotypes when it came to men and bikes.
It is Chennai’s super-popular biker girl, Alisha Abdullah who is making every Indian proud with her remarkable achievements in the racing world.
This first female national racing champion of India got everyone talking about her when she got engaged to her pilot companion, Vell Naveen Devanraj. The ceremony held at Mamallapuram was attended by this professional racer and her beau’s family, close relatives and friends. The duo are set to tie the knot in Bali early next year.
Alisha looked like a dreamy stunner in a peach outfit while Vell looked dapper in an elegant blue suit. The couple even had a pre-wedding shoot at Chennai’s Temple Bay a couple of hours before the engagement. They complement each other so well. It's hard to say who supersedes whom!
As kids, while her friends were busy dressing up dolls and playing with Barbies, Alisha on the other hand was busy tucking away trophies in go-karting. To be precise, she was a go-karting champ by 11.

At 13, she won the MRF National Go-Karting Championship and the Best Novice Award in the National level Formula Car Racing.
Her father fondly recalls why he asked Alisha to shift to motorbike racing from car racing.
The fact is formula car racing can get very expensive. Motorbike racing is easier to manage financially, and moreover, I know what is what in motorbike racing and I can guide her. So I asked Alisha to try bike racing.
Congratulations to this gorgeous biker woman and her pilot fiancé on their engagement. And wishing them truck loads of happiness and best wishes for their new road ahead.
