'Chhalaang' Actress, Nushrratt Bharuccha Dodged Marriage Discussions At Home For Years, Here's How

Bollywood's rising star, Nushrratt Bharuccha, has dodged marriage related discussions at home and 'conned' her parents for years. Details inside!

Nushrratt Bharuccha, is a well-known face in the Bollywood industry, and with films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Dream Girl and Chhalaang, she has created a niche for herself. Nushrratt enjoys a huge number of followers on her social media handles. Every now and then, she leads the headlines either for her film release or even for her sartorial fashion choices.

But, this time, Nushrratt acquired a space in the headlines because of her 'conning' method. She has been conning her parents for years about marriage. In one such interview, the actress revealed that in her culture, boys and girls get married at a very young age, and after she did 1 or 2 films, her family wanted her to get married. Here's how Nushrratt misled them.

Even though her parents want her to get married, Nushrratt is still not ready to tie the marital knot. In an interview with Zoom, the actress shared how she conned them for years. Nushrratt said:

"I conned them. It was years of conning. It was tough because I come from a Bohri Muslim family and in Bohri Muslim families, girls are married off at a very young age. I don't understand why but it's just a cultural thing. Even boys get married really early. So, after I did 1-2 films, I had the pressure that now get married. So, I conned my parents saying that only one more film I'll finish and then I'll get married."

Further adding in the conversation, Nushrratt even mentioned that she went to meet potential matches so that her family couldn't get a chance to call her out for being single. In her words:

"And this kept going on. But while I was doing that, I was meeting the boys for rishtas also, so that there was no conflict in the house where I could tell them that I'm going to see the boy na, if I like the boy, I'll get married but it just never happened."

On the professional front, Nushrratt had made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the movie, Pyaar Ka Punchnama and was last seen in the short film, Ajeeb Daastans. Currently, she is gearing up for her new OTT-released film, Chhori.
