On September 23, 2019, Chhavi Mittal had thanked the Academy of Nursing Studies and Women's Empowerment Research Studies (ANSWERS) for starting a campaign supporting normal births in India. She had captioned her post as “I'm really thankful to the Academy of Nursing Studies and Women's Empowerment Research Studies (ANSWERS) for starting a campaign supporting Normal births in India. The statics show a drastic increase in surgical births in the last 10 years and as somebody who's gone through a normal birth as well as a surgical birth, I have personally experienced the difference between both. A surgical birth can save your life if there's a medical reason to do so. But the reasons why women are opting for surgical births are shockingly trivial. I'm hereby admitting that I would opt for a normal birth on any given day if the choice is mine. If you're with me, please sign this petition to show your support. I'm adding a link in my story. Hoping you will choose to use your power wisely, dear mothers. #normalbirth #childbirth #naturalchildbirth #csection #cesarean #chhavimittal #chhavimittalbirthstory #mother #mom.”

Clarifying her September 23, 2019, post, which became a topic of discussion about why she had called a 'normal' delivery 'normal', Chhavi Mittal posted a picture of her kids, Areeza Hussein and Arham Hussein along with the definitions of cesarean delivery and natural childbirth. Her post could be read as “This post is especially for all those people who completely missed my point in the last blog and started an inane and futile discussion about why I'm calling a 'normal' delivery 'normal'. These two adorable brother and sister are united as a family and always will be, my love for them will never reduce or change... rather it will only increase with time. But fact remains that @areezahussein was a normal delivery and @arhamhussein was a C-section. While I wanted the former to be a normal one and my doctor went out of her way to respect my wishes, (love her for that), I wanted the latter to be natural, and my doctor didn't support me as much.”

Chhavi Mittal concluded her post with, “So obviously I'm not "blaming" or "questioning" ALL doctors, like many love to state. There's no need to "blame" or "question" me either, because it's not me who says C-sections are on the rise, the statistics say that. And supporting a natural or at least a normal birth is my prerogative. You may choose to support anything you like and I'm no one to question. I merely dedicate myself to sharing my knowledge or experience with the mothers "who wish me to". #righttospeak #righttoopinion #opinions #chhavimittal #chhavimittalbirthstory #csection #normaldelivery #naturalchildbirth #naturalbirth #surgicalbirth.” (Also Read: Chhavi Mittal Shares A Beautiful Sister-Brother Moment Of Areeza And Arham, Talks About Their Bond)

On August 27, 2019, Chhavi Mittal had posted a picture with her 4-month-old son, Arham Hussein and speaking on the topic of ‘natural labour’, she had written, “Having said that, I also take this opportunity to once again stress on natural labour! I feel, my little @arhamhussein has crossed his first milestone of lifting his head beautifully beacuse I allowed him to stay inside the womb for as long as he wanted to. I did not induce although it became increasingly difficult during the last few weeks. I felt it has made a HUGE difference in his early developmental skills. Hence, unless there is an emergency, maybe my pregnant friends can try to go as natural as possible too! #Littleone #baby #babies #chhavimittal #arham #growth #development.”

Chhavi Mittal had also spilt beans on her diet during the breastfeeding phase postpartum. Elaborating on the same, Chhavi had written, “A lot of you have asked me about my diet during the BFing phase post-partum. So, this post goes out to all those mothers who feel confused about whether to eat or to lose weight! Well, I'm no expert, but in my experience and from what I've read, BFing needs nutritional food, and so does good health. So the two are not at opposite ends of the spectrum. What I do is avoid processed sugar and restrict natural sugars to a bare minimum. But I do eat flaxseeds, chia seeds, nuts, fruits & green veggies. I also consume coconut oil since it's a healthy fat, and cheese too. I completely shun wheat (I feel it bloats me up). Instead, I eat rice and ragi. I am a non-vegetarian, so I eat eggs, mutton, chicken and fish.”

Chhavi Mittal had continued, “I avoid eating heavy things after 7 pm, but fill myself up with the protein and fibre rich foods like chicken and veggies, since I need to sustain myself through all the night feeds till the next morning. And I always start my day with a banana & date smoothie! The only vice I still have is a cold coffee, in which I add only 2 sugars. But then, that's my comfort food and it takes all my stress and tiredness away! Btw, I don't eat any til/gond laddoos etc, or jeera pani etc, or tank myself up on milk. I did this for the first one month and then gradually discontinued & Arham & I have a perfectly healthy BFing relationship. However, please try this at your own risk & find your balance! PS. I avoid all gassy food & oh! Lots of water! #happymotherhood #diet #food #health #fitness #healthydiet #pregnancy #postpartumdiet #postpartum #chhavimittal #breastfeeding #breastfeedingmom.” (Also Read: Chhavi Mittal Didn't Know She Had A Fractured Foot During Last Days Of Pregnancy, Shares After-Story)
