Bollywood actress, Chitrangda Singh opened up about single parenting and revealed that her ex-husband, Jyoti Randhawa takes equal responsibility of their son, Zorawar.
Chitrangda Singh is one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood. She never leaves to mesmerise everyone with her amazing acting skills and pleasant personality. The diva made her acting debut with the film, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2005. Later, she went on to work in movies like Gaslight, Desi Boyz, Baazar, Soorma and many more. On the personal front, Chitrangda was earlier married to an Indian professional golfer, Jyoti Randhawa, however, the duo parted ways in 2013. Moreover, the ex-couple have a son, Zorawar Randhawa. Recently, she opened up about single parenting and much more.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Chitrangda Singh opened up about single parenting and shared that she and her ex-husband, Jyoti Randhawa take equal responsibility for their son, Zorawar. Mentioning that the duo has been co-parenting their son, the actress stated that they have been respectful about being parents. Chitrangda also said that she and her ex-husband are always there for Zorawar. In her words:
"Honestly we are not really doing single parenting. It is both of us who take our own responsibilities, we are there for him - both of us. It’s not really single in any which way at all. I think we have been very responsible, we have been very respectful of being parents. Me being the mother, and he being the father - I think we have been extremely respectful."

Further, in the same interview, Chitrangda heaped praises on her ex-husband, Jyoti for being an amazing father. The actress mentioned that she believes that it is important for parents to be respectful about parenting and sharing responsibilities for the sake of their kids. Stating that her journey post-divorce has not been difficult, Chitrangda said:
"I think that’s how it should be for the sake of the kid more than anybody else. I think it is that what is important. So it’s not been difficult I have to say. What I am saying, I am not complaining at all. It has its challenges, but I would give him a lot of credit. He has been an amazing father, and we do our bit."
Earlier, in an interview with the IANS, Chitrangda had opened up about not working for seven years after her marriage. Talking about the same, the actress shared that at times, women chose to prioritise their families over their careers. Chitrangda also mentioned that post-motherhood, the priorities of women change, and it happens because it is how a woman is made and not because a man stops her from working.

For the unversed, Chitrangda and Jyoti were childhood sweethearts. Their parents were family friends, and the duo first met when Chitrangda was in eighth class. The ex-couple had tied the knot in the year 2001, and after thirteen years of togetherness, they had parted ways in 2013.
