On the sets of 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' season 12, comedian, Ali Asgar's kids reveal that they get bullied because of their father. Read on to know why!
Living a life of a comedian is not a cakewalk. Along with glamour and fame comes an endless number of trolls and derogatory DMs sliding into their inbox. Standing in front of the audience is tough, but standing in front of an audience that judges every word you say and expect laughter every split second is a much more challenging job than it seems. In India, we are well versed with popular comedians like Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Ali Asgar and many more, but behind the scenes, they work a lot more on their body language, skills, writing and comedy timing to make us laugh.
One such comedian and actor, who has been entertaining us for ages is Ali Asgar. He became a household name after his stint in The Kapil Sharma Show as Dadi. The character of Dadi demands Ali to dress up in a woman’s outfit and do the grooming like a real female on stage. On one side, Ali’s performance has won millions of hearts; on the other hand, Ali’s children had to go through many bullies in school because of their dad.

In the recent promo video of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 12, uploaded by the makers of colors on their IG handle, we spotted Ali Asgar breaking down in tears. In the family special episode, his daughter and son filmed a special video message for their father, appreciating his skillset as a comedian. His daughter could be heard saying that laughing at oneself is not everyone’s cup of tea, but she is proud of her dad, who does light-hearted comedy and self-roasting on national television to make the world laugh. Afterwards, superstar, Madhuri Dixit also said that she is also proud of Ali. Check it out!
Earlier, in an interview with the ETimes, Ali Asgar had revealed why he left The Kapil Sharma Show in the middle, despite getting immense fame from the show. Answering this, he had stated that he did not have much to offer to the show as his character was not evolving. He further added that if money was the reason to perform, then he would have never left the show. Ali could be quoted as saying:
"I completely agree that I couldn't recreate the success in projects that followed. Ho Sakta hai shows mein woh baat nahi thi ya performance mein kuchh kami hogi. Complaining about it is a futile exercise. There is always a lot to analyse. However, I don't have any regrets. I had a reason to quit the show and it wasn't an overnight decision. I didn't have much to do on the show. If the intent was to earn money, I would have still continued on the show."
For the unversed, Ali had tied the knot with the woman of his dreams, Siddika Asgar on November 17, 2005. And within a few years of their marital bliss, they became proud parents to Ada Asgar and Nuyaan Asgar.
