The most distinct facet of a bride’s face is her eyes. They need to stand out as eyes speak a thousand words. But sometimes the makeup doesn’t quite give the look you desire leaving you feeling ugly. So here’s Cory Walia, famous make up artist tipping you on how to touch up your eyes to make it expressive and beautiful on your wedding day.
Cory feels it is imperative that you get an eye look that augments the shape of your eyes.
Most of the Indians have almond eyes. They are generally oblong eyes with expressive undertones. Corry suggests that Indian brides with such eye shape should apply black eye liner on the upper eyelids and a kajal pencil line for the insides. This adds definitions to tour eyes. Apply a light eye shadow in accordance with your wedding dress. A dark mascara needs to be applied bottoms up to add a personality to your eyes.
Deep-set eyes generally need a lot of touch up to make them noticeable since they are small too. Brides with such eye type, Corry says, should apply a thin layer of eyeliner under the lower lashes. It will make the eyes appear big. Shimmering textures and light eye shadows makes the deep-set eyes prominent. Use a white pencil line on the insides of the lower eyelid. It will space out the eyes a bit. Dark colours and matte effect forms an illusion of big eyes. For deep set eyes, Corry hints that applying dark shade in the inner corners of the eyes will uplift it. Go in for a load of mascara. Glam it up, if the bride wishes to, by using artificial eye lashes. Prefer liquid eyeliner, Corry advises, only if the hands applying it are steady.
Corry Walia asserts that eyebrows also need proper care and make up to complete the eye make up. But different people have different eyebrow constitution.
Arched eyebrows add sophistication and attitude to your look. Redefine them with an eyebrow filler of brown or black colour.
In case of people with thin eyebrows, the task to enhance their eyebrows becomes must or else they look incomplete. Use a black or brownish black eyebrow filler to line your eyebrows.
Brides with thick eyebrows need to streamline it or it appears dreary. Go in for occasional threading and tweezing to keep them streamlined.
