From time immemorial, we've been listening to the elaborate accounts of the brave things people did in love and for love. Sometimes, this makes us question why people go to such limits for merely a feeling. The feeling of being with someone, with whom you feel that you can conquer the world just by standing beside them is worth all the hassle, don't you think? The year 2020 is going to go down in history for a lot of varied reasons but never in our wildest dreams, we had imagined that the year 2020 will be remembered for a bizarrely sweet tale of love. California residents, Patrick Delgado and Lauren Jimenez are together for the last four years. After getting engaged in May 2019, the beautiful couple had set their marriage date in the year 2020, unaware of the horrible episode that the entire year 2020 was going to be! Imagine, postponing your wedding three times because of the pandemic and then testing COVID-19 positive just three days prior to the big day! Sounds something straight out of a horror movie, right? But that's what happened to Lauren Jimenez.

After postponing the wedding three times already, Lauren and Patrick were in no mood to let anything stop them from becoming each other's forever. Their courage and out of the box thinking made us witness the most beautiful and unique wedding of the year. As Lauren was quarantined, the bride and groom exchanged wedding vows and rings holding the ends of a 30-foot long ribbon decorated with flowers made by Jimenez's aunt! For the wedding, the bride, Lauren sat by the window of her bedroom on the first floor and the groom stood outside the window in the front yard. The wedding ceremony had just ten guests in attendance and some even watched the ceremony from their cars across the street.

Talking to Good Morning America, Lauren said, “Although it’s definitely not how we envisioned our wedding day, Patrick and I were able to exchange our vows to each other.” She further said, "Patrick has been the best partner! Since we don't live together, he would FaceTime me every day and reassure me that we can get through anything together." Talking to KABC, Lauren said, “I was like maybe we can somehow get married with me in the window. It’ll be like a fairy tale, I guess.”

Jiminez also told Good Morning America how lucky she is to have a partner like Delgado. She said, "I feel so lucky to have a partner who will support, love and navigate through tough times. If we can get through 2020, Patrick and I can get through anything. I know Patrick and I will also share laughs about how crazy, unique and different our wedding day turned out. We will definitely be sharing this story with our children and grandchildren someday." Jimenez also revealed that she and Delgado plan to have a big celebration next year but they haven't set a date yet because they want to use their original vendors and check their guests' schedules.

Jiminez further added, "Being a quarantined bride has not been ideal, but I'm trying to make the best of our situation. I can't wait till I can be with Patrick and finally give him a kiss." The wedding photographer, Jessica Jackson had the most hilarious and apt take on the wedding. She told Outlet, “It was the most 2020 wedding I have ever shot during COVID-19.” (Don't Miss: An Angry Bride-To-Be Sends An Email To The Company For Her Bridal Gown, Their Reply Is Hilarious)
