It is official and consensual that for your wedding day, you will have to wear a perfectly shaven look, if for nothing else, then for the wedding pictures. On other days you may prefer going about in stubble but not on this day.
Follow the procedure listed below for a close, smooth and safe shave on the day of the nuptial.
1) Splash warm water on face to make it supple. Refrain from too cold water as it may lead to miniscule shrinking. Warm water helps in opening up the pores.
2) Spread a thin layer of shaving cream or foam and work in round circles on the face and along the throat.
3) Do not smear a thick layer as it may lead to clogging of the razor.
4) It may sound a bit tedious but shave in the direction in which the hair grows. Saving against the direction of stubble will leave small buds that may be too prominent if you are on the fairer side.
5) Make clear and neat strokes but be careful to not hurt yourself.
6) Rinse after every stroke or every second stroke. Don’t let the lather clog up the razor.
7) Just after the shave wash your face with cool water and apply light moisturizer. This will keep the skin breathing and supple.
8) Do not apply aftershave lotion immediately because it tends to dry up the skin and cause a wrinkling or crackling effect.
9) Let the skin relax and then apply aftershave.
