Amid Dalljiet Kaur and her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel's separation, a report claimed that Dalljiet gave away her wedding saree to Nikhil for a sofa cover in his home.
Actress Dalljiet Kaur is going through the toughest time of her life as she deals with an ugly separation battle with her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel. Time and again, Dalljiet slams Nikhil for his cruelty while Nikhil is trying his best to prove that his marriage with Dalljiet was not legal.
Amid the ugly battle, a source close to the actress revealed how she gave Nikhil her wedding saree to make a sofa cover for their home. According to a report in Times Now, Nikhil asked Dalljiet to use her wedding saree as their sofa cover to symbolise it as a ‘shrine to their love’. After Nikhil made the demand, the actress handed him one of her best sarees from her wedding trousseau.
The source claimed that as soon as Dalljiet handed over the saree, Nick made a sofa cover out of it within no time. Recalling how every snip on the saree was a slit on her heart, but still, she bared it since it was a symbol of their love. As per the source:
“It was the saree that symbolised the start of a new chapter with Nikhil Patel. Hence, every snip of the scissors was like a pang in her heart and memories of her wedding day flashed before her eyes. But the sofa was a shrine to their love and she somehow went along with it.”
However, as soon as Dalljiet and Nick parted ways, the latter ripped off the cover and shredded the saree into pieces. When Dalljiet asked Nikhil to send her the sofa as it was made with her saree, she just returned the shredded saree pieces to her. The report further claimed:
“Nikhil is trying so hard to prove that Dalljiet and he never got married. End result - he is glorifying his fraud.”
After her failed first marriage with Shalin Bhanot, Dalljiet Kaur gave love another chance and got married to Nikhil Patel back in 2023. Within ten months, Dalljiet returned to India with her son, Jaydon. She also accused Nikhil of having an extramarital affair and cheating on her. Nikhil made fun of Indian tradition and mentioned that his wedding with the actress had no legal validation as per Kenyan laws. Dalljiet had fought back and slammed Nikhil for his 'games'.
