In a recent interview, Dalljiet Kaur opened up about giving marriage another chance and revealed her son, Jaydon's reaction to it.
Actress, Dalljiet Kaur is on cloud nine as she is going to give love another chance. Dalljiet, who was earlier married to actor, Shalin Bhanot got engaged to her UK-based boyfriend, Nikhil Patel in January 2023 and will soon tie the knot. In a recent interview, Dalljiet talked about her second marriage and her son, Jaydon’s reaction to it.
In an interview with the Times of India, Dalljiet revealed how her son, Jaydon reacted to her relationship with Nikhil. Talking about the same, Dalljiet said:
“Jaydon is quite mature for his age. I have dated before, and he would ask me if I was considering the guy for marriage. He has always yearned for a father, but I needed to be sure that I got him a good dad and myself a good husband because it’s a matter of our lives."

In the same interview, Dalljiet revealed that when Jaydon met Nick for the first time, the little boy called him papa on his own. In her words:
“When he met Nik for the first time a couple of months ago, he addressed him as papa on his own. I just froze thinking Nik kya sochega, as we hadn’t decided on marriage back then. Nik, without even batting an eyelid, started playing with him. That day when Jaydon met him, we just knew that we wanted to be together.”

Dalljiet and Nikhil are single parents, and it was the major reason for their connection. Nikhil Patel is the father of two daughters, Aariyana and Aanika. Talking about her equation with Nikhil’s daughters, Dalljiet said that Aariyana had been raised quite nicely by her mother. Calling her the daughter she never had, Dalljiet shared:
“I am proud of having such a beautiful girl in Aariyana. Her mother has raised her so well. She is very talented and sings like magic. We bond over girly topics, and we can talk about everything. She is the daughter I never had. I have always wished to have one and I am glad that my prayers have been answered. I am yet to meet his younger daughter, Aanika, who is eight.”
Dalljiet and Nikhil are all set to tie the knot in March 2023, and she will move to Nairobi for a couple of years with Jaydon, as Nick works there. The couple will eventually move to London. On February 4, 2023, Dalljiet took to her IG handle and announced the news of her relationship. Sharing a cute picture with Nick, Dalljiet wrote:
“The stars aligned and fate played a part in bringing our hearts and souls together. Our journey to forever starts now. A new life, a new country(Kenya in Africa), a new beginning. Together. Maktub - It is written.”
