Deepak Tijori opened up about how actors supported each other back in the '90s and made shocking revelations about Amrita Singh.
Bollywood actor, Deepak Tijori is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, Tipppsy. He is well known for his stint in many films, including Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin, Sadak, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Badshah, among others. The 1993 movie, Pehla Nasha, marked his first film as a leading man and was also the directorial debut of Ashutosh Gowariker. The film also featured Pooja Bhatt, Raveena Tandon, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.
Recently, in an interview with Zoom TV, Deepak Tijori opened up about his initial days in the Hindi film industry back in the 1990s. The actor also shed light on how the actors shared a great camaraderie between them back then. Since Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Saif Ali Khan, were also approached to make an appearance in the film, they were also supposed to be attending the premiere. Talking about the same, he said:
“Back in 1993, there was a film called Pehla Nasha that we were making, and surprisingly, in that film, there was a scene in which we all wanted celebrities to come for a premiere of my character in the film. Ashutosh Gowariker was the director and we had friends."

Deepak also shared an anecdote revealing how Saif Ali Khan's then-wife, Amrita Singh, had stopped him from supporting the former's first film as a protagonist. The incident shocked him when Saif informed him about Amrita's reaction when he allegedly informed Amrita about the party. Amrita got angry with Saif and strictly asked him not to go to the premiere shoot. Deepak shared:
“There was a moment by which I was really surprised… Shah Rukh (Khan), Saif (Ali Khan), and Aamir (Aamir), who were coming. So Saif was getting ready at home. This is his version. When he was getting ready at home, Dingy (Amrita Singh), his then-wife, asked him, ‘What are you doing? Where are you going?' So, she was like, ‘Really? How can you do this? We never did all these things. Who does this? You go and support somebody on premiere shoot’.”
Reflecting on the incident, Deepak Tijori shared that during the '90s, actors went everywhere to support their fellow actors in the fraternity. However, he also highlighted that it has not been happening for a while now, which is saddening. Talking about the same, Deepak said:
“But again it’s broken, now for some time we don’t see that happening.”
