Deepika Padukone and Amber Heard shared the stage at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and the video of the same has resurfaced. Now, netizens have pointed out the unique similarities between the two.
Deepika Padukone has, on numerous occasions, represented India on the global level. The actress has also attended the prestigious Cannes Film Festival four times now. She first attended the festival in 2017 and proudly represented India in a saree. In 2018, Deepika attended the Cannes Fest show powered by Loreal and shared the stage with Amber Heard. At that point, Amber was a part of the show in association with Loreal and her film, Aquaman.
For the unversed, Amber Heard had a very public fall from grace after she falsely accused actor and her husband, Jhonny Depp of physical violence and other heinous crimes. Later in the court, Depp was given a clean chit, and Amber was registered under defamation and sued over a million dollars.

Deepika Padukone and Amber Heard are both associated with Loreal, and the duo were invited to the Cannes show for the same. Though Amber is no longer a part of the campaign, at that time, she had a good image in the media. At the show, the host asked Deepika about her experience of wearing a saree on her first appearance at Cannes. To this, the actress explained that she wanted to represent her Indian roots and culture at the international level, which is why she donned a saree during her first international event. She also added that she loves saree as it makes her feel sensual and empowered.
As Deepika conversed with the host, Amber was seen silently listening to the actress, and the duo even engaged in conversations during the show. The duo seemed cordial with one another and were appreciative of each other’s creative accomplishments. In the show, Deepika looked ethereal in a white-hued printed flowy dress. On the other hand, Amber Heard looked ravishing in a multi-coloured noddle strap bodycon lacey midi dress.
