Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are busy taking care of their little princess, Dua Padukone. For those who don't know, Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Goddess Laxmi in the form of their daughter on the second day of the Ganpati celebration in 2024. Deepika even took the blessings of Ganpati Bappa just a day before getting hospitalised. However, Deepika has been making sure not to show the face of her little princess to the world yet, but she introduced her to the photographers.
On December 23, 2024, Deepika and Ranveer invited the photographers and introduced them to their daughter, Dua. A celebrity photographer, Shiva Chiliveri, took a cute selfie with Ranveer and Deepika to his Instagram handle and posted it. The new mommy looked gorgeous as she posed for the photo.
Sharing the photo, the photographer thanked Deepika and Ranveer for making them part of their family. He even stated that it was the first time when a celebrity made them meet their baby personally and welcomed the photographers as a family. He wrote:

Talking about Deepika's look, she was dressed up in a nude-toned halter-neck gown with ruffled detailing at the hem. She radiated the post-pregnancy glow and looked stunning. On the other hand, Ranveer was dressed up in a white-hued crisp shirt with matching pants.
On November 1, 2024, Deepika, in a collaborative post with Ranveer Singh, introduced the world to her daughter. In the photo, we could see her baby girl's tiny feet as she was decked up in a red anarkali, just like her mother, Deepika. Along with the picture, Deepika penned a note and revealed her daughter's name — Dua Padukone Singh.
While Deepika Padukone is a Konkani and Ranveer Singh is a Sindhi, they chose an Arabic name for their daughter. Dua is a word that originated from Arabic. Dua is a feminine name, and it means prayer. It has a beautiful religious context, as in Islam, it is an action of praying to God. Not only this, but Dua also has an origin in Albania, where it means 'love'. According to research on names, the name has a clam beauty and serendipity to it.
