Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have given us a lot of memorable scenes on the silver screens and now the day isn't far when we will get to see their magic yet again. Deepika has been roped in to play Ranveer’s on-screen wife, Romi Bhatia in the upcoming film, 83, Kapil Dev’s biopic. The announcement of the same was made a few days ago, and we couldn't be happier.
Deepika Padukone had shared the happy news by posting the following picture on her Instagram handle and had captioned it as, "& on to the next...Thank You @kabirkhankk for this incredible honour...! #RomiDev #Day1 @83thefilm @ranveersingh." Ranveer Singh had commented on his wife's post with a hilarious message, "And this time we don’t die in the end! Yay!"
Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly a supportive wife and she has proved the same by posting a video on her Instagram stories. In a behind-the-scenes video, which Deepika has captioned it as, "Being the supportive wife on and off the field #83TheFilm," the support of wifey to her hubby is so evident. Take a look:
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's social media PDA is on another level. Recently, summing up his life in a Boomerang video, the Gully Boy actor wrote a beautiful caption, “Story of my Life. Real & Reel! @deepikapadukone @83thefilm.”
And just like their social media PDA, even in real lives their love and respect for each other is every couple ever. In an interview with the GQ magazine, Deepika had talked about Ranveer and had shared, "I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person – and he’s everything rolled into one man. He’s my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be." She had shared in another interview, "Over a period of time because it's the small things that he did and the little things that he said which made me believe and feel more and more that he's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The foundation of our relationship is just solid friendship and for any successful relationship, that's very essential. It started off on that note right from the beginning and over the years that we have dated, it only became stronger and stronger. Over a period of time, I don't think there was that one definite moment."
Coming back to the 83 movie, in an interview with Filmfare recently talking about acting with her husband, Ranveer, Deepika was quoted as saying, "When you are in the business of movies, you are playing a character. Of course, all of this is yet to play out, but at the end of the day, you are essaying a role, and at that point, you are not thinking whether your co-actor is your husband, brother or someone you know closely. All you try to do is, be honest in that moment.”
The Padmaavat actress has further added, “The personal equation doesn’t spill over into the workspace. I can’t think of anyone else who could do justice to the role (of Kapil Dev), but if there was someone else playing him in the film, and not Ranveer, I would still do my part. This isn’t coming from a personal equation, but from my passion and enthusiasm for the film."
